What sort of system would I need to emulate the PS2 SRW games properly? I need to know before I try to get more RAM and a new processor for x-mas.

I think at the moment it's not just a case of PC spec but also emulator build - it's just too early on to get it running properly even with a beefy PC.
Having said that I got FFXII running in a playable state (although a million miles away from perfectly emulated) on a 2.something dual core with 4gb of ram and a decent graphics card.

PCSX takes advantage of both dual core and 64-bit architectures, get a processor that does both and you should be good. As for RAM, I don't think you need to expand past 2 gigs.

Yeah, you pretty much need a SUPER GOD computer to even try run things decently with PCSX2. I have a 1.7 gig Core 2 Duo with 3 gigs RAM and had the PS2 BIOS only running at 10-15 fps.

I got Disgaea to work pretty well, although there are SOME 3D graphical glitches.
Alas, I'll pretty much be playing SRW and SD Gundam games, so a 3D game isn't the best barometer.
I might get more RAM soon, though.
