Well, Vik Tokai brought over the game, so I think they were the ones that made those changes and removals.

Sorry, will get to these eventually, but I've been shallacked with both site and non-site stuff lately. I have a few other articles that need updating (Espgaluda, Deathsmiles, Otomedius) that are similarly languishing. I'll make this a Spotlight Article for the next update though, thanks!

Japan has some kind of obsession with Septentrion. It's in Shikigami 1, and in Devil Survivor 2 as well.

The game or the word?

The word. I thought it might have been some kind of mythical thing that people love to reuse for fantasy, but it doesn't seem that way.

It comes from the Latin and basically means "Northern".

Alright, updated this a bit with some of this info. The bit about the "r button" calling was actually already mentioned, but I stuck in the part about pulling people with the Y button.
Also did a little more research on the Japanese wiki page - Redwin is most likely inspired by Gene Hackmen's Reverend Scott character, while Ismay, the guy Luke needs to find, is named after the guy who owned the Titanic, who incidentally fled for his life and disappeared to a life of shame for not going down with his ship.

Alright, updated this a bit with some of this info. The bit about the "r button" calling was actually already mentioned, but I stuck in the part about pulling people with the Y button. The bit about the R button you mention is not the same one I was talking about. The one you mention is the "passenger call", the one I mentioned is the "passenger follow". Just press R to group everyone on the same spot, the Yellow arrow will turn Red, now, without moving, press and hold R. If done right, the arrow will disappear and the passengers will follow you automatically without having to call them all the time. It is the best "trick" most people will never know while playing the game. --------------- Anyway, the developers must've realized that their pathfinding routines weren't very good. So, if you trek ahead, enter the next room, and call for them, they'll immediately transport right next you, regardless of where they were in the previous area. (On the other hand, if you wander too many rooms away, you'll lose them forever.) Actually, they transport right next to you only if they were left behind near the exit in the previous room. If you left them behind near the start of the previous room or while they were stuck or climbing something, then they can take up to a minute to get back to your side (because you have to wait until they traverse the room). With an emulator's fast forward is easy to press the speed key until they arrive, but on the real console it can be exasperating and worrisome to wait a full minute not knowing if they are going to arrive at all (sometimes they don't). Which is why the "passenger follow" technique is much better And Luke Heinz is the lone playable crewman, who must hunt down Ismay Townsend, the ship's captainYou don't have to hunt for him. The captain is right there crying once the ship capsizes if you're playing as Luke (which is the only character that can rescue him). Redwin Gardner is a "counselor" (or a pastor, in the Japanese version), based on Gene Hackman's Reverend Scott character from The Poseiden Adventure, and Jeffery Howell is a doctor, both of whom are travelling with their wives. Redwin is not traveling with his wife. This is a mistake made by English sites. The intro clearly has the children call him "Mr. Gardner" and "Oh look, it's the counselor", not "there's dad/stepdad". Plus, the kid's names are Stella & Henry Adams and not "Gardner", which is Redwin's last name. In addition, when you manage to find the children's dying mother (which is, according to English sites, his wife), Redwin's dialogue with her is not of a husband, but of a friend or acquaintance. Each character has approximately four or five main endings, depending on how many survivors you've rescued, but the actual people you save also changes some events and dialogue, leading to numerous possible permutations. This is not true, there are no permutations in the endings. I already checked by beating the game dozens of times with lots of different survivors with every character and nothing happened by bringing specific people. The text dump confirms that information too. If you leave that in, you'll be spreading the same misinformation other sites have been spreading from that 2002 FAQ on Gamefaqs. My problem with this is that everyone goes to wikipedia for info and most people treat it as if it is a source, but wikipedia uses your site and others as source... so all you end up doing is passing around the same spit and claiming "the other site said that".

Haha, after taking a closer look, here's why the "real life actors" of each character were removed from the credits of the USA version. See if you can figure out who they supposedly are Caplis Kein Casnner Redwin Jean Hickman Jeffery Sean Chanery Stera Drew Barry Nerson Chack Norris Eacars William Dahoe Claver Michael Beens Pamera Grace Kelly Fransower Mary Griffith Alan Tim Dulton Robert Matthew Frederick Frank Michael Kain Peins Jeff Daniels Katherine Phoebe Kates Passenger Woody Arlen Passenger Brock Shields Passenger Mark Hamilton Passenger Loyd Bridges Sailor Tom Tanks Sailor Bill Muroni

[...]the guy who owned the Titanic, who incidentally fled for his life and disappeared to a life of shame for not going down with his ship. We've had that in Italy recently. A cruise liner crashed, and the captain fled, leaving everybody to fend for themselves. Let's say he's not highly thought of.
