Not to complain, but, srsly? We have full write-ups on series like Fire Emblem, Langrisser, and Front Mission, all of which have only had a few of their chapters released in the US, but the one SRPG series for which we've actually had all major chapters localized (except some stupid little Neo Geo spin-off) and there's no article?
Seriously, call your SRPG guy and make him get to work. Or your Matsuno guy. Someone. I'd volunteer but I have yet to actually play Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (topic inspired by the fact that I finally managed to get a copy on Ebay ;D), and don't have the time to go through OB64 again, much as I'd like to.

It doesn't seem like you are complaining but it does seem like you are demanding.
srsly, articles don't get written by themselves. Wait until someone has enough interest to write it.

I want an Ogre article too, but I just wait (and wait) until someone gets the interest to do one. He probably doesn't know how things work on websites (fanbased at least), you just don't demand stuff people do on their free time

Assuming you're playing each game to completion, that would be a tough article. I wouldn't mind doing it, but I don't have any way of taking screenshots for games in the PS1 era on up. I'm sure someone will get to it, though.

My roommate loves Ogre Battle, but to be honest, I've barely played it. I spent a bunch of time with Ogre Battle 64, which was awesome, but I can only halfway stand Tactics Ogre. Which is weird, because Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my most favorite games ever.
So I'll play the "maybe someday" card, unless someone else wants to take up the banner, of course.

Are we allowed to have multiple people working on an article? When I finally get around to playing Tactics Ogre (which unfortunately won't be till the summer. Damn college >_< ) I wouldn't mind doing a write-up on that, or playing through Knights of Lodis again. But I don't feel qualified to give either of the Ogre Battle games their proper dues, as I played OB: March of the Black Queen on the SNES (meaning I was using Enix's subpar translation and dealing with the completely nonexistent story).
I DID play through all of OB64, but again, I don't think I'd be giving the game a worthy write-up, as I played it before playing the original, meaning I missed all of the continuities between the two games (such as OB64's inclusion of Destin, a.k.a. the nameless Protagonist of the original Ogre Batle).

I've announced interest in doing Ogre Battle a few weeks ago under the reservation topic, but progress on my current article is slow, so I might not be able to start on it before mid-february.
Technically, that's more than three months after my claim, though.

The problem is the Ogre Battle for Neo Geo Pocket, which I have never seen in action. I would love to help with the article, as I have every NA released game in the series, save for the SNES version of Black Queen, as I have the PSX one. If people are serious, Ill drop my current games and jam on an Ogre Battle. PM me if the help is wanted.

I've got gaps too - never been near OB64 (not released here, and I've never owned an import N64) or the original OB. The only ones I've spent any real time with are Knight of Lodis and OB: Zenobia no Ouji, so I don't know how I could help.

The SNES & PSX OB and TA have differences, so I think you would have to play both. The good thing is there are good emulators for all the consoles there have been an Ogre Battle game. As far as I know, the NGPC OB is the same as the SNES version. I don't know if there is new stuff though.

The Saturn version is different again (voice acting) - it'd be a hell of a lot of work to do properly.

If you've played the NGPC one, though, we might need you. I doubt anyone else here has.
And to the other fellow, the NGPC version is NOT the same as the SNES one--it's a Gaiden chapter starring Canopus, IIRC.

As far as I know, the NGPC OB is the same as the SNES version. I don't know if there is new stuff though. Actually its a side-story focusing on Prince Tristan, one of the main characters in the original game.

Good to know, all this time I heard that it was a port of the SNES version. Weird no one has attempted to translate it.
