Well, I actually liked the way the class system worked in the game boy game myself, but that's just me. I think the TO-ish idea of different class trees for different character types (male and female in TO's case) was much better-implemented in TO than it was in, say, Fitnal Fantasy Tactics Advance, but that's neither here nor there. When you get right down to it, TO advance *is* an early-gen GBA game, so it doesn't surprise me that there's been some cutting-down of the class selection. I also felt that the classes in Tactics Ogre Advance were more distinct than those in the original, but that's just me. I actually have a lengthy digression about my philosophical objections to FFTA's class system, but I'll spare you in this thread. I'm guessing that a lot of the hardcore Ogre Battle fans dislike TO Advance because the changes do make the game a lot more forgiving and significantly easier in the early game, which a certain portion of the fanbase probably interprets as making the game "too easy" or "dumbed-down". - HC

Again, I still have to play through the original, but I rather liked KoL (read: if this article happens I'm definitely doing the write-up on it ). I think Shahar, especially, is a criminally underrated villain who was far more interesting than the measly screentime he was granted.
