Found something wrong already and I barely started reading. Dororo's bio refers to the character as a boy. This is incorrect, as both endings say otherwise (hell, you even see her all grown up after you get all your body parts back). This was changed for the game only, Tezuka never intended for Dororo to be a girl, FYI. Thanks for the catch, but I didn't want to spoil that, plus it was specific for only one media and not canon as it were.

Just thought I would let you guys know that Dororo is well...a little girl. She's pretty androgynous throughout the whole adventure until the end, when Hyakkimaru meets up with years later to face off against the final boss of the game (you only face him when you have defeated all 48 fiends). The scene shows Hyakkimaru talking with Dororo who is clearly now a young woman.

If I understand correctly, the "Dororo being a girl" thing wasn't part of the original manga and was part of the surprise twist of the ending of the game. The author of the article didn't want to give it away.

Wow, that's messed up. It's a shame that this game didn't get more publicity, it's a great game.

Just thought that I should mention, I'm watching the live action 2007 Dororo movie right now, on the sundance channel no less. It's pretty sweet for one of those Licensed Japanese movies.
All the right characters are there, except that Dororo is an obvious [and childish] female trying to pose as a tough man. Only downside is that Hyaki does LOTS of brooding in this movie, not as much as Cloud; but there are lots of scenes where he just sits and stares before speaking solemnly
Might be worth it to add it to the article.
