BEST RPG SERIES EVER. Anybody here who like rpgs owes it to themselves to play these games. Even if you dislike rpgs you should play these games. I can not remember for certain, but this might have been what got me into rpgs. I can not say enough about how good this series is. Honestly, this is HIGHLY recommended to everybody.

"Due to all of the changes to the system, Fire Emblem Gaiden is largely seen as the bastard of the series, the Fire Emblem equivalent of Zelda. "
I assume you meant Zelda 2?
Great article and an excellent intro into the series.

I find it extremely strange that, of all the Fire Emblem games to hit the States, Marth and Roy have not officially appeared in any game except SSBM.

One little thing about Thracia 776: " This Super Famicom game was released for the Nintendo Power system." Aren't you talking about the Nintendo iQue?

Nope, it's called Nintendo Power. It was only in Japan, and the fact that it's the same name as the American magazine is a coincidence.

Oh, it's just that the Nintendo Power sounded alot like the China exclusive iQue (empty carts that could get different games at certain vendors).

Spoilers: Roy appears in the second GBA Fire Emblem, the first FE released in the US, as a child during the ending. Not playable, but he is in the game.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excellent article. The olny FE I have beaten was the second GBA Fire Emblem, which I enjoy quite a bit. I also have Path of Radiance for GCN, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet (been playing TP, Yoshi's Island DS and Castlevania PoR and now I'm playing Yggdra Union).

Awesome article on one of the greatest console sRPG series of all time. It's a shame how long we had to wait for it, but better late than never I guess. Anyhow, the only thing I feel that it's missing is a cameos section with pictures of Marth and Roy from SSBM. but it's a minor nit-pick on my behalf.

I stuck in a screencap of them (in-game) at the beginning so I figured that was enough.

I edited my post. I thought it would be obvious I had hidden text because of the quote. I had it hidden for a reason...
