hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/outfoxies/outfoxies.htmThis is a strange Namco game from the mid-90s, a crazy arena fighter (kinda) with a number of bizarre characters and cool environmental hazards. I'd heard about this before but didn't try it up until now - the controls are a bit wonky, but there's so much wacky going on here that it's hard not to like.

A bit of pain to play sometimes but this was a pretty unique title and undeniably cool...a couple of weak stages kind of draw the battles out uncomfortably long though. The ending level is a fairly unique set-piece for an arcade game.

Two fixes and a comment or two
One of them is one a huge cargo plane... (two ones)
your character automatically will automatically be returned onto the playing field at the (extra automatically)
"you can fall into the lower levels, like the fancy dining room where you can toss food at your enemies" Yes, food fight! This game sounds awesome just for this!
Sadly, never played it, although I used to frequent arcades in the 90s. But then, I had a lot of issues accessing arcades other than a few titles because I'd get strange looks, being a girl and all.

I remember when our arcade got this in and at first glance was all like, "Oh shit yea, Elevator Action 2!....but with a different name? huh?" (because, you know, I had only seen a few small low res screenshots of the game until that point) and then I realized it was something totally different and got bummed...
...until I decided to give it a chance and play it. Holy fuck was The Outfoxies funner than balls. It sucked many a coin from my pocket until the machine magically disappeared as suddenly as it had originally appeared. Thank god it eventually got fully supported in MAME (though it took a good few years).
God, I miss my local arcades.

By the way. The girl in white special skill was perfect accuracy, her shots always go straight unlike everyone´s else.
I have good memories of this game.

Two fixes and a comment or two I guess I'm not the only one posting these anymore. Here's some more: an aquarium that's begins exploding around an aquarium that's beginning to explode around

This needs a Virtual Console release now that they do arcade games.

Correction: Mr. Acme is actually the woman at the end, not the man. You can tell by her silhouette between stages. The man is probably just her servant anyway.
I played this some time ago and thought it was pretty cool. I'm surprised it wasn't included in any of the Namco Museum compilations.
