Fixing, and adding more data as well. I also plan on doing a little video on the differences between the MSX, MSX2, and Famicom versions of the game.

YO So, I got a 'real' life some time ago. That means a job, and right now I'm getting ready to go back to school or something stupid like that. You see, when I started LotW Remix I had nothing going on except some joke classes. I had tons of time, little obligations, and nothing really exhausted me. Even THEN I slacked off. Now, I do still spend a lot of hours everyday on the computer but as far as committing to a massive project and even posting on my favorite forums, which I've always been flaky with, well that's just gone downhill clearly. Hey, at least now I can say my bank account is growing(until I blow it all on tuition). I haven't even thought about LotW Remix for months now. But JUST NOW, I googled the term, and the first result was a thread on gamefaqs. www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=587404&topic=49584414This made me warm and tingly inside. And then I went back and looked at my files, and really impressed myself with what I'd done. I can see the finish line as far as the map goes. I also see a lot of ways I can improve my tiles. This thing started as a little bit of self indulgence, but now I'm getting the itch to move forward on this for other people's sake too. And hopefully with other people's help. So! Let's kick this thing in the ass shall we. EDIT: I just went and checked out your engine Kiragames. I feel a damn fool for not even checking this thread since like, June probably. This is sublime. I'm sure with tweaks it'll start feeling identical. I'm not big on making gameplay alterations to the original, but if it's good, it's good, so I'm willing to try out anything. Our forces must combine!

Dropping a note here: I've talked to kiragames and he showed me some neat things. While I was on hiatus he's been doing cool stuff on the programming side, so the project hasn't really slowed down much at all if you take that into consideration. Work progresses! I imagine a demo with Lyll playable, maybe just to show off the physics and not much else, is not far away.

Ok, so about this demo:
It's going to start off in the first room of the dungeon area, and only that area is accessible . I'm using parts of the engines from my tests to make a successful remake of the physics.
Only character playable will be, as said before, Lyll. We'll have some, but not all, monsters.
After the demo, there probably won't be any further releases until the beta version is released. We will try to keep you up to date with videos and pictures until then.

Sounds fantastic! Any date set aside for the demo's release, or just "soon"?

As far as a set date, expect it from about two to four weeks from now. I'll try to get it out ASAP, so it could be next week. Just keep an eye out!

I am sooo sorry about the delay... Things keep getting in the way and progress is slow.
So here's a teaser video for you (Sorry about the low quality).

Slow progress is better than no progress, and it's certainly shaping up well so far. Every time this thread gets bumped is good news. =D

Holy crap, why am I just learning about this! This is a great idea.
Once the core game is done, it'd be badass to add a second quest. 32 by 32 screens!
