I have a recorded list of over 1,600 gamespy hosted websites. Of these, I managed to salvage 850+ sites since June. The rest have either been terminated already or are in such a state of disrepair that they cannot be archived.

Oh shit, was the Gradius Database salvaged? I thought that was one of the best sites devoted to the series, but updates tragically stopped in 2006 due to the death of a family member, and I would assume unmotivation to keep up on the site afterwards. It's too bad, I was hoping to see what the author's view on Gradius V would have been... still, was the GDB saved?

Might as well bump this to say that IGN finally deleted all of the sites. :\

*giant sigh* And the Gradius Database is officially dead. At least I got to get one last look at it a week ago. Fuck you, IGN, and fuck your precious need for bandwidth. That's all I care to say right now. Pricks.

So which sites actually made the move to a new provider?

Also wasn't some guy popping in here every now and again, and telling us he was archiving some?

You can always use archive.org to look at old websites.

You can always use archive.org to look at old websites. I finally remembered the name of that site reconstructor: Warrick !
