This is what I'm working on right now; Air Gallet Awesome vertical shooter with some of the most intense bullet-hell experiences I've ever had in an arcade shooter this side of Mars Matrix. Macross II Another in a long line of Macross shooters. Is someone doing a Macross shooter article? Let me know and I'll bump this one off. Dragon Ball Z I think someone was doing a DBZ fighting game article? Dragon Ball Z 2 Super Battle Eh. This game kinda sucks. Guardians/Denjin Makai II Freakin' sweet, off the wall beat'em up. Gundhara Kinda reminds me of Shock Troopers. Macross Plus Another Macross shooter. I might consider lumping this and the other Macross shooter into a Macross shooter article, mainly because I LOVE Scrambled Valkyrie on Super Fami. Sailor Moon This beat'em up is so good, it's ridiculous. Perhaps needs to be put into a Sailor Moon article. Ultraman Really horrible Ultraman beat'em. Ultraman X Somewhat mediocre Ultraman shooter. Mazinger Z Can't find any screens for this one. Seems to be okay. Dragon Ball Z V.R. VS Coproduced by Sega. Sort've like the Yu Yu Hakusho fighting game on SNES.

Was just talking about Guardians last night, what an awesome game. I wish the first Denjin Makai was compatable with MAME...

The MAME indexing lists it as Banpresto also, but I'm almost positive you're correct.

It's looking to be awesome, David! However, there is at least one game I know of that's not mentioned: Metamoquester. It's this weirdass fighter with a weirdass title that's a lot like Konami's Monster Maulers (which I can never get to work in MAME. Never.) Almost exactly like it, even; you choose one of three characters and beat up on giant freaky demons. I haven't played it too much, but it seems decent enough.

I left out Metamoqester for some reason. That's actually one of the main reasons I decided to do this article.

I am wrote DBZ HD a while ago. I would be down with collaberating on DBZ fighters if you like. I am not interested in them enough to write about anything that is not emulatable, however.

Out of all the games listed above, none get played more by myself than Air Gallet, after all it'll blow your socks off. Seriously though I love how intense the game is, can't really do much except make it to stage 2, but practice makes perfect.

Gamefaqs doesn't have that kind of info on arcade games. What little info they have is submitted by users who play MAME, and the extremely inaccurate KLOV site. Get a Banpresto executive on the line and have him tell me directly that Banpresto had no involvement in the development of these games and I'll believe you. Until then, these are Banpresto games.

See, the thing about that is, I could modify that right now so that it didn't have that information. Wikipedia isn't going to cut it.

I can not offer definitive evidence for Guardians. I can not find much information about Winky Soft on the internet. Maybe somebody else (who is Japanese literate preferably) could look for a site to confirm or deny this.
The other two are fairly well known. Could anybody else back me up on this? Go to shmups.com and ask around. More likey than not people there will be aware of who made those two games.
Here is a idea: Play all three to completion. Check their credits. Compare the names to the names of the developers for other games by those two developers.

Air Gallet pisses me off, the switching powerups are annoying to keep track off, and most weapons are just plain useless. Add that to the fact that I haven't had a panic moment anywhere in the game.
