This one's been a long time in the making: www.hardcoregaming101.net/senkonoronde/senkonoronde.htmIt's also, by far, the largest article on the devoted to a single game. You'll see why too! There's an introduction to how the game plays, a general criticism, a huge summary of the plot and characters, a huge breakdown of the differences between the various arcade and home conversions, a comparison to Virtual On, more stylistic comparisons to a manga/anime called "Towards the Terra", and a large art gallery.

Ah... navigation links. Something I've always wanted to see in an HG101 article. Looks to be the most dedicated article thus far.

was supposed to add more stuff to it, but that would've delayed the feature's release even further. I'll do that some other time. EDIT: doh, that section on page 4 hasn't been addressed yet D:Also, some of the links are still wonky because it's looking for html instead of htm. >_< EDIT New Ver.: Holy S. That's in-depth. Great job! Makes me want to grab a 360 as soon as it's out in pal-land. Isn't it already out in the EU? Release date was June 6th.

I'm pretty sure I put up the most recent revision of Page 4. I uploaded some of the images I forgot though, so the broken pictures should be fixed throughout the article.
Also, I don't see where it's still referencing the "HTML" as opposed to "HTM". They all seem to work fine.

Christ, that's fucking huge. Must have taken forever to put together but it is, by far, one of the best works I think I've seen put up here. There is a real sense of love, dedication, and research oozing from each word. Vastly informative.
Good show, man.

yeah, thanks. you're probably going to have to mention this game now in your Xeno feature. I think. If you're going to mention that guy whose name escapes me right now since I'm sleep-deprived. EDIT: oshi- looks like those Newtype USA pages are missing from the introduction. Are you going to include those images or are you going to get rid of the links altogether? Also, Shuji Sogabe's website/blog is missing: shujisogabe.jugem.jp/What I find funny is that this website has all three artists that worked for this game right here: www.condensedmilk.org/all.htmexcept that it looks like it's been abandoned.

Koichi Mugitani, the Chocolate Shop guy? Yeah, I had his name written down in my notes form the beginning. Interesting to see he's been around.

okay, there were a few translation errors I've also come across this game, but they didn't make it into the main feature because... well, there really wasn't a unified agreement between Kurt and I about them. Here's the first example. I'll let you guys think over it during the weekend since I'm probably going to be out of town until the start of next week and I only have time to do a screencap of this anyway. Ernula has a special win quote when she beats Mika. Here's the sound file. However, there's the robotic voice announcer which snuck in the middle of her phrase, so you need to tune that part out. Here's the Japanese subtitle for it: Now that Japanese text, when Romanized, says, "hehehe. Aai uiin!" If you were to pronounce that, it'd sound something similar to, "hehehe. IIIIIIIIIIII WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!" Here's the English subtitle: The translation doesn't make much sense. Kurt said, "aai uuin" could be the onomatopoeia for a car engine revving up, but I highly doubt this, especially since those dashes in Japanese usually mean that you extend the sound of the Japanese character right before it, and sometimes they don't use katakana for foreign words like they did for this win quote in Japanese.

*gulp* Makes the huge bongload of work I've put into Rez seem insignificant in comparison... Nah, I keed. I still don't know much about what this game's all about, but when I get to reading it seriously, I hope I'll gain enough signif... aw, shit. Need a 360 first.

I think you're probably right in this instance that it's supposed to be her saying "I win!". (If it were "uuin uiin!", that'd be more like a revving noise.) I generally don't like picking on differences in translations though, unless it's either drastically wrong or completely hilarious.
