This happens a lot around where I live, too - cyclists NEVER give me any warning when they're approaching behind me, and zoom past almost as fast as the car traffic. They always ride on the sidewalk, always going down the left side of the road (against traffic) and never seem to be wearing helmets. I wonder, if I were to accidentally step in front of one as they're passing at 20+ MPH, who would get injured more grievously, me, or the biker that didn't think to warn me?

There's one way to find out... No, but seriously. I might take a dive one of these days just so that the guy could learn a lesson or two. My brother as could younger than 10 was hit by a bicycle going not even that fast and impaled in the nose with the handlebar. Sure, they may think "I'm not driving a vehicle" I can be carefree with people. But the truth is their still lugging a metal frame going around who knows how fast.

The general disrespect that the internet seems to have for casual gamers.
Seriously, we must look like a gang of dickheaded snobs to anyone who isn't already in the special club... and then we complain about how our hobby is portrayed by the mainstream.
I'm not calling anyone out or anything (this site in particular is quite good about being inclusive), just saying, the tone of some things I've heard and read can be really depressing.

My anger at casual gaming is more toward the companies and how they kind of prey on casual gamers. I like it that my mom or even grandma will play video games, and I'm glad that there's something out there for them.

I hear you.
It sucks that the companies selling puzzle games to my dad will stick shit in a box and so long as it's easy to understand, they'll just sort of assume he can't tell the difference.

I tried to preorder Fate/Extra off of Gamestop.com to get the little preorder booklet, which was online only. Unfortunately, they kept giving me a vague error message saying that it couldn't process my order at that time, and to call my bank. I sent emails and tried in vain to contact their customer service people, but didn't hear back until today, after it was too late. Their answer? "They couldn't process orders from me at this time because of anti-fraud measures and to call my financial institution." Motherfuckers.
I guess the point is that I hate it when Gaystop gets preorder bonuses because I hate buying from them, and I hate bullshit like this that they seem to engender.

Sexism, people who think "feminism = misandry" and rape humour.
