Good job! Wow, the game is actually pretty good. Mind if I add it to the link list in the first post? This thread continues to pick at my interest... but I have still yet to see any mention of Sonnori's utterly astonishing, frightening and compellingly twisted 3D first-person horror game Whiteday. Which almost got TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH. It got shortly mentioned for its almost-translation on page 1. I plan to introduce adventure games in the last big update, but that's rather far away, and if you played until act 3, you'll most likely have more insight than me. So if you're in the mood to write a few paragraphs about it, go at it. BTW. White Day can be acquired (of course only in Korea). Jewel case releases of post-1999 games are rather easy to get (of course only in Korea). It has also been included in a collection called "Romance of Package", that contains every non-online PC game by the company. I wouldn't mind at all

I might write something anyway. Having dug the game out again, I've finally managed to pass where I got stuck in act 3, and the game is - as always - as brutal as ever. I'd advise horror fans seek this thing out however you can, it's a truly fantastic game for its age, and has some of the best audio from a soundteam that isn't Irrational or Looking Glass Studios.

Here's an open case update: Cheonha Mujeok 天下無敵 This game goes by the same title as the godawful game introduced in the fighter update, I've seen various romanizations so far, so I'm going with standard RR now. It's almost certainly a completely different game, though. The company that applied for rating is Geumseong Electronics (Goldstar), they used to import various Japanese games like Tekken and Virtua Fighter. All other non-import games by them are gambling machines. The background shown in the 2nd screenshot suggests it's a Korean game, though. Could also be a Korean stage in a Chinese or Japanese game. Nothing's certain, yet. The game didn't receive an age rating, so it might be unreleased. Some of the character names are: Mr. Kang Apache Suzuki (probably) Whoopi Then some more I can't reconstruct from the hangeul, 8 characters total. I don't suppose anyone knows about this?

^^As someone who collects old fighting games, I'm intrigued... It's interesting how most of these Korean fighters have 8 characters.

"Real Fighter" cravings, anyone? Does the game display some kind of credits? I'm currently in doubt whether the game was really done in Korea. It's interesting how most of these Korean fighters have 8 characters. Street Fighter 2 syndrome, I'd say. Too bad they almost never bothered to put in bosses.

As you mentioned, this is probably not even Korean. The title characters are Chinese, not hangul. The Chinese transliteration is "tiān xià wú dí". The same characters, however, CAN be read both in Korean and Japanese as "Tenka Muteki" and "Cheonha Mujeog", but I suppose that a Korean game company would instead use the hangul characters for Cheung Ha Moo Juk - "천하 무적". I personally believe that this is a Chinese game. Most of these Street Fighter 2 clones include Chinese, Japanese AND Korean characters, so the stage is not a strong supporting fact (what exactly is Korean in there anyway?). Nevertheless, I am interested in finding whatever info possible on this game.

Well, the PC game with the same title, released in the same year, uses Chinese characters in the title as well, and there's no doubt about its country of origin being Korea. There's a number of Korean games from that time that feature chinese characters on the title screen, mostly for but not exclusive to historical settings.
As for the background, the drum with the three colored taegeuk is quite typical for Korea.
I'd be happy if this game was to be found in China, though, because that could mean it may have been released, after all.

I was just pointing out the possibility. In general, I agree with you.
Where did you find this game anyway? Can you reveal the source (site, magazine or whatever)?

That's from the Korean game ratings board ( www.grb.or.kr ). For arcade games, they always got this sheet of paper with a brief discription and a few screenshots (as seen above, in pretty poor quality until 1998 or so).

Not a Hangul master myself, but these are my desciphering results for those characters (the bolded are 100% correct):
1 마스터 강 Mee Seu Teo Kang (Master Kang) 2 우피 Ung Pee (Upi?, Whoopi?) 3 아파치 Ang Pa Chee (Apache) 4 우짐 Ung Chem (Ujim?, Jim?, Woo Jim or Jim Woo?) 5 아구로 Ang Ku Reu (Aguero?, Agulo?, Aquilla?) 6 모라드 Mo La Deu (Moloto?, Molotov?, Moradu?) 7 알렉시 Al Leg Si (Alexi) 8 스즈끼 Seu Jeu Kki (Suzuki)

I dunno whether most of these are any good, but what else I know has been released in English:
Atrox (very blatant Starcraft clone, by the looks of it) War Diary Kingdom Under Fire: A War of Heroes Stone Axe

I'm looking for really rare ones (like Seven Years War 2, which is impossible to find). P.S. "Emperor of Myths - Zeus vs Kronos" was released only in Korea?

In case you manage to find more, I'd be thankful if you could drop any available release info here (Publisher, Country, Year, whatever is knowable) P.S. "Emperor of Myths - Zeus vs Kronos" was released only in Korea? As far as I know, yes.
