I'm really interested in the "When the Day Comes" series. Any chance of finding part 1 and 2? Here are some advertisement screenshots for part 1 (which I now know for certain has not been released):

Doesn't look like I can channel energy to do strategy games in the near future, so I'm doing adventures first: Adventure UpdateFather WorldA Prince of Persia / Another World (I'd say more of the latter, actually, as it doesn't seem to have much platforming) type game with rather confusing level design, but some nice backgrounds and animations. The intro shows a villain who I believe is a ripoff of some other video game villain, but I can't remember which one. Time MachineA carbon copy of the Carmen Sandiego games, but the player is traveling through the Korean history. 오성과 한음 (Oseung & Haneum) Also a blatant clone, this time of the Gobliiins-Series, but this seems to be even more cryptic than Coktel Vision's games. Pulling the Dog From under the terasse makes a chicken fly into the screen, but that's as far as I got. The title suggests that there will be a second character later on. 얼의 환상의 섬 Eol's Fantasy Island One of the very few proper point&click adventures, people who are following this thread might recognize the main character. The game is aimed at kids, so it has very saturday-morning-cartoony graphics style and cutesy voice acting. The interface is as simple as it gets, with no verbs, but only a single mouse button that does everything needed at any given hotspot (minus item use, of course). 나무꾼 이야기 The Woodcutter's Tale A point&click adventure based on a fairy tale. Couldn't get this, so here's just a few screenshots: 제피 Zaphie There's a whole bunch of render still adventure games from the late 90s, but Zaphie is the most critically acclaimed one. The player assumes the role of a doctor. When the wive of a friend was pregnant with twins, the girl didn't survive, but he didn't tell the parents and claimed the assumption that it would be twins was a mistake and there was only the boy. 7 years later he is called to the mansion of his friends (who consulted the same architect as Spencer from Resident Evil, it seems) because something is wrong with the child (his name is Zaphie). Upon arrival, no one seems to be in the house, and the horror/mystery adventure begins. There's also Zaphie 2, which I couldn't get so far, this time it's a Silent Hill kind of game, but most reviews aren't very favorable on this one. White DayThis has been mentioned before, maybe it could be described as Clock Tower in 1st person. A boy and three girls are locked in school at night, and there's lots of creepy stuff going on. The fire alarm starts all of a sudden, and while looking for the switch, you witness the caretaker murdering someone. The caretaker represents what Scissorman was in Clock Tower, so you've gotta shake him every time he appears (I think his face can be replaced with custom textures). There's no scripted hideouts, though (at least that's what I think), so you have to rely on the game's sound & lighting. It has also some very creepy cutscenes. For example, in an extremely dark room, you see a hanged girl on the ceiling while the ligthning flashes through the window. With the next flash, she drops to the floor, and comes nearer and nearer. With the last flash she can't be seen anymore, but before she was crawling to the area that isn't illuminated by the lightning. Then you're back in control to explore the room. So far I'd call it the second creepiest game I know after Fatal Frame.

Yeah, that's kinda was the game is all about. Here's a picture from the same scene a little later when lightning strikes for the second or third time:

I'd love to find out more about Zaphie and Zaphie 2 but I wasn't able to find hardly anything online except for a review from an adventure game site. Whiteday looks awesome, download the english demo recently and had fun messing around with it though I couldn't do much. The game recently had a Gamefaqs page finally made for it as well so now there's a faq for it for english gamers wishing to try it out. Really hope some of these games get English translations sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

Oseung & Haneum, Eol's Fantasy Island & The Woodcutter's Tale look awesome. Lost treasures of the history! As for White Day... I think this game is one of the reasons to learn Korean language.

I could use some help if someone wants to try out Super Beemger (description on page 1). It is obviously possible to transform into a mecha whith better weapons (as can be witnessed in the self running demo that starts when no key is pressed on the title screen), but I can't find out how to activate it. Here's a link for anyone who wants to experiment with it and see if they can figure it out: rapidshare.com/files/357015416/beemger.zip

Zaphie reminded me of Zephyr...as in, Rhapsody of Zephyr. I guess that and the rest of the War of Genesis series will be part of the strategy game update? I hope so, those games look awesome. I would love to see an article on those alone since I've seen quite a bit of praise for them. Haven't played 'em myself. Anyways, keep up the good work derboo!

The War of Genesis Series was indeed intended to be in the strategy update (although Rhapsody of Zephyr itself is an RPG, unless I'm confusing it with Tempest), but that might get postponed until after the first part of my insanely big article is done. In other news, another game went on Abandonia. The main site post for that update is awesome.

Zephyr might be a bit of work - if you have the time I'd love some details on the differences between the original Koreanand the Falcom version, because I don't have the stamina to play through them consecutively myself :S
