You should have the screenshot comparisons by the time that you see this.
Oh, and by the way, nice to see this go up.

Sorry it took so long to get up, ZZZ... it's pretty much my fault. Originally, I was tasked with editing and formatting the article, but... well, around that time, Chris Benoit's... horrible shit occurred, and I became disgusted with Pro Wrestling in general. Granted, the CWA is an absolutely fictional league that has no affiliation with the WWE, but for some reason, it still felt bad in the pit of my stomach. I had already edited quite a bit of the article, but I turned it back to Kurt for formatting. The WWE itself... well, it's undoubtedly been the shittiest year for the circuit, so I'm still a bit sour on wrestling. Still, I just love SNSM and RoD, and I'm also glad to finally see it go up. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date with your sister.

I've never been particularly fond of wrestling so I never tried these games...they look nice though and the character design truly screams "Tetsuo Hara" from every pixel which is a good thing.

Give 'em a try. SNSM is definitely the wrestling game for people who aren't very fond of wrestling games, kinda like how Tecmo Super Bowl does that for football titles and Blades of Steel is similar to hockey games in this sense.

Fire Pro is probably even better for people who do not like wrestling. Both series are good in that respect.

Nice article for a deserving series. Really makes me want to play them again. If it wasn't for Capcom's stupid suicide Batteries in their arcade boards I would still be enjoying mine. I've heard the FM Towns version was the closest to the arcade but I'll probably have an easier time finding a working board than stumbling across more FM games

It may be worth mentioning that Biff/Zalazov and Gunloc/Colt seem to be based on Chris Jericho and a certain Murderous French-Canadian, respectively. (Personally, I think Gunloc looks AND wrestles more like Alex Wright, but that's just me, and Alex Wright never wrestled in Japan as far as I know...)

Is there any male crying, shirt riping and head exploding in the games?

Is there any male crying, shirt riping and head exploding in the games? No dice, Kenshiro. That's be cool, though. At the least, in Ring of Destruction, you get to smash your opponent through the ring.

Not to be nitpicky but I think Jumbo is based on Abdullah the Butcher not Earthquake

I decided to read this out of boredom, and ended up learning about its interesting connections with Street Fighter 2 and the series' last installment (which I didn't know it existed). Good job ZZZ. I never got into this series but I will definitely give it a try now, which means your article did its job. Keep it up.
