Pfft, you see when I posted this original message? Almost TWO YEARS AGO.
I have the memory of a senile old man. I remember virtually NOTHING about this game.
Might be time for a replay. (:

All I know is that the plot and characters are utterly crazy in that way only a Japanese game can be. Giant robots, military men with swords, combat maids, some kind of ancient demon, wizards... I have only the vaguest idea of what's going on, and for all I know I'm completely wrong.
It sure is a fun game, though.

Rapid Angel looks pretty fun. I'm rather amazed at how many interesting PSX imports have come to the North American PSN. I should get a PSN card sometime and download some. I have my eyes on this and Money Idol Exchanger Holy fuck. You know, when I was a kid, I never thought "coathanger" (often pronounced more like "cohanger") was actually just two words put together. Same with windshield (winshield). And now siliconera? Man like. This shit. Always blows my mind. Dude. Whoa. I have to admit, that revelation about SiliconEra does surprise me. I already read it to myself as "Sili-Conera" or some thing like that. I never took the time to think about what it actually was before now. So it's not Silicone Ra, then, eh? That'd explain why I never saw any rubbery polymer replicas of ancient Egyptian deities on the site...

This is a fantastic idea that you should definitely suggest to the people who run the site. I think it would make one hell of an awesome new logo. (:

Rapid Angel (and Yakiniku Bugyou) competition will be up tomorrow - promise! A chance to win download codes if you're still on the fence about these.
Also, I find the dialogue (when I can understand it) quite funny in places.
I'm going to try to type this as best as I remember, sadly I've no idea what kanji the second name is meant to be, but hopefully it makes sense.
The sword girl gets a phone call from the red head:
SG: Hello, who is this? RH: Watashi! Watashi desu! (Me, it's me!) SG: Oh, Watashi-san! (Oh, Mr Watashi)
Watashi - 私 - refers to oneself. Normally 私は (as for myself), but in this case she left off the は and the slightly dim sword girl assumed it was someone called Mr Watashi. I didn't catch the kanji for that, mainly I was listening to the dialogue, but I found it pretty funny to listen to. It could be 渡し, but I'd need to recheck that dialogue section again. "渡さん" appears to be real people, so maybe.
At least, I think that's how it went. My Japanese has deteriorated to being almost non-existent these days.
Also, the little wizard kid who I decided to let go and then repeatedly called me an idiot raised a chuckle.
I've been playing this concurrently with Hermie Hopperhead (HG101 article due soon!), and this is definitely better than Hermie despite its much lower production values. Hermie looks slick, but just isn't any fun.
