Hydra Castle Labyrinth is a masterpiece, just like all creations of E.Hashimoto. Speaking for soundtrack is it available in mp3 quality? Or should I convert the midi files which are included at the game's folder?

I recently found this awesome game: Ripple Dot Zero. It's a 16 bit platformer, heavily inspired by titles like Sonic 3 with elements of Strider (weaponry) and maybe Rocket Knight (jetpack). You control an anthropomorphic penguin equipped with a sword and you jump, bounce, use a jetpack, slash enemies with your weapons and collect pills to unlock timed bonus levels in which you try to free your fellow penguins. These bonus levels are usually hard and you'll probably need more than one try to beat them. The art and music in theis game are simply amazing. The game controls are smooth and it has a high replay value due to many secrets hidden throughout the levels. www.rippledotzero.comBTW, I found this game through a site of a Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag. You should check that one out as well: www.simonstalenhag.se/Edit: I just noticed, this game has already been mentioned. For some reason, I couldn't search this thread, though.

Metal Shinobi Assassin is a Metal Slug clone with a feudal Japan theme, made for a game making event promoted by NicoNico Douga. The armored ninja can double-jump, fire a gun and use recharging homing rockets. The pixel art is fantastic, checkpoints are sparse and so are energy items, which makes the game difficult at first. However, beside the basic soldiers most enemies are damage sponges, which slows down the pacing, and the rockets are too convenient to not be used. Some limits of Multimedia Fusion 2, the tool used to create it, are evident. It's also very short apparently, I reached the second boss and it seems to be the final one already. Still a very nice game, worth a try.

Has somebody already mentioned this? www.yardteam.ru/eng/An indie sequel to Rock n Roll Racing, as you see you can switch between the original perspective and 3D and you're even able to use your own custom soundtracks. When it's finished I'm gonna put the whole F-Zero X soundtrack plus every Tony Thai remix in it and voila, the ultimate SciFi racer

Hello, I am small indie developer. I would like to invite you to a new game, The Edenscaper. A story tells about a devil Lilith, who is so bored with the good&evil war that she escapes from the trap of heaven. It is compilation of beat'em up and arcade run through 3D unrealistically connected world. Unusually, there is NO joystick steering, you just tilt the device. So, if you like the concept, the game is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod. It looks like on this screenshot: It moves like in this trailer: It is available on the AppStore: itunes.apple.com/pl/app/edenscaper/id712909772?mt=8It has homepage here: edenscaper.comBest regards, Michal Butterweck

sideline.ghegs.com/This is a nearly 20-year old Taiwanese DOS shmup that surfaced about a year ago, and just recently we managed to track down the original producer who was kind of enough to give us permission to distribute the original release, as long as no profit is made from it. Makes you wonder how many other excellent, forgotten DOS games could be found from China, Taiwan, South Korea...

The Train is a Russian horror game taking place mostly on, well, a train, although some flashbacks take place elsewhere. THe titular train is run-down and seems deserted, with ghosts and other strange apparitions. The graphics are mostly gray but quite good; controls are the usual WASD + mouse, with E to interact and left mouse button to grab a few select objects. While I really dig the setting and atmosphere, I stumbled in a bad bug that prevented me from going beyond the first wagons. Judging from some youtube playthroughs, there are some really good moments further on, especially the wagon with the mannequins. It has checkpoints but no savegames, so it has to be finished in a single sitting. The game starts in Russian, so to set the language to English you first have to enter the Options (second option of the starting menu).
