Great music for walking. Hell, I need to compile a playlist consisting entirely of marching songs from fantasy RPGs.

"The Vast Field" from Golden Axe III is the perfect theme for any recent Embark in Dwarf Fortress. also, "Imitator" from R-Type III is probably one of my favorite tracks in the entire series. The theme just puts forth the impression of "Long-abandoned lab where shit grew out of control" so well...

Sentinel, from Front Mission: Gun Hazard. Curse me for not having saved an SPC file of this theme when I played its level. It only appears once.

I've been thinking about Fighting Vipers a lot lately for some reason. It was one of my favorite games as a kid and is probably the biggest reason I don't entirely regret opting to get a Saturn back when it was new (that and, relatedly, Fighters Megamix). Personally, my favorite song is Occam's Razor, the theme for Picky's UFO Diner level, but I may be biased since he was also my favorite character. Then again, it's the only song to return in the sequel, in remixed form, so that may say something.

That kind of music for when you feel like going full throttle down the street.

I love PS1 era redbook audio. Skip the intro to this one and you've got one Kickass Tune.

This one doesn't feel like a Jet Set Radio song, but it sure as hell feels funky.
This one feels like the theme to an old village, maybe by the sea or something.

Best fan-made mashup I've ever heard. Even Hideki Naganuma and Tomoya Ohtani, composers of the songs, shared it on Twitter.

Gotta love Richard Jacques, man. You probably know him best as the composer to Sonic R, but unlike Sonic, this one is purely instrumental.

Metropolis Street Racer has some goddamn awesome music, seriously. Most of the tracks even feature vocals from TJ Davis, aka the Sonic R lady. Fittingly enough, it's those tracks I love the most. State of Mind is funky as hell, and gives me some Jamiroquai vibes for some reason. Time is probably one of the most calm songs in the game, really chill stuff. Other tracks featuring Davis are Keep Holding On, Am I Only Dreaming, You Can Love Me and Show Me Your Love, which are great, but my absolute fav of them all is It Doesn't Really Matter, it's absolutely catchy and quite uplifting, somewhat. As for the ones just by Richard Jacques, I find my favs to be Club Paris, Overdrive, Funk Freeway, Think About It and Come on Baby, as well as the unintentionally hilarious Let's Get It On Tonight....jeez, that's a lot of links.

I've been rather stuck on this song lately; "Banbado ~Piano Version~" from a Japanese freeware ARPG called "Iseki-jima to 7tsu no Mahou - Hikaeri Dungeon Ennikki 2". Holy crap how can anything be so goddamn simple yet so catchy arrgggggh
