www.joystiq.com/2006/03/23/gdc-the-nintendo-keynote-blow-by-blow/Every hardcore gamer will want this if the downloadable games have features that will entice people who still own them to buy them again, like level editors, online play, or at least achievements. If not, this will be around the 13th time a service sells emulated Genesis games and nobody cares.

Well hey, if they have Columns for a reasonable price, I'd buy it. I heart Columns.

It looks like you will also be able to download TurboGrafx/PC Engine games. Ys, anyone? ;D

I was already planning on picking up the Revolution, now it's just been reaffirmed that I will do such.

Hell yes. This is great news. What TG games are you guys expecting? 'Think Lords of Thunder will be there?

There probably won't be any CD games. The Rev would need a hard drive to store them, even with compressed audio. I hear there's only 512 MB worth of memory for storing stuff altogether.
One can dream though.

Always the possibility of them expanding the memory, or at least allowing the capability to do so.

True, the Rev is purported to only have 512 MB of onboard flash memory--but what about expansion like Fletch says? I know there are two USB slots; isn't there an SD slot as well? Hey, I'm trying to dream, here!

AWESOME.
I'm pretty sure this is because it's no harder to emulate the PC Engine CD than the actual PC Engine. The Sega CD actually requires a bit of extra hardware.
Man if they just let us put our Turbo CDs and play them in the Revolution...MY GOD. Assuming the Rev comes out at $200 that's still a lot cheaper than a Turbo Duo.

Haha. I don't like this exalt/smite system, but I am compelled to give props to Protodude. 'Great news! Let's tell Hudson what we want.

Hm. It'll be awesome to play Gunhed on my Revolution. I wonder if Konami will allow Rondo to be emulated?
