Actually the Genesis McDonalds game is quite awesome.
I think I read in an interview somewhere that Treasure has a stronger following in the US than in Japan. Anyone got that article?

Yeah, it was in some Play magazine article:
"We're mostly known for our action games, so we probably have more American fans than Japanese."

I've only played a handful of Treasure games out of their whole collection, but I've been impressed.
Gunstar Heroes- Arguably better than the original Contra (I believe it is, but I have friends who disagree with me on that score), and probably one of the best action games for the Genesis. Intense, great controls, and holding innovative, fun level design and boss encounters, easily one of the best 16 bit action games out there.
Light Crusader- Not a bad game, though not great either. It's fun and it at least tried something new with its level design and puzzle emphasis. Wish more was done with the melee combat system though.
Dynamite Heady- Still have yet to beat this properly. Very fun, though very hard. I find the technical aspects quite appealing as I can't think of any other game that's made better use of parallax scrolling for the Genesis.
Silhouette Mirage- Hard, but fun. If it wasn't for a small easter egg that allowed me to get a level six weapon on the first stage, I doubt I'd have beaten all five paths. Some additional continues would have been nice, but other than that, the game play is solid.
Ikaruga- I think Maddox said all that needed to be said on this gem in one of his past articles.

Light Crusader is the only Teasure game I own. It was one of the first games I purchased when I bought a second Megadrive 2 a few years ago.
It's bloody hard too, I never did finish it.
