HOLY SIZZLING SHIZZLE!!! I just played through the first episode, and that HAD to be the most innovative fun I've had in games in... well, quite some while. I did make a bit of a daft mistake, but other than that, I totally toasted it! ;D
Gotta stay sharp... next episode, I go up against Edgeworth. He'll be more of a challenge than Payne, I gather. Kurt, THANK you for detailing the awesomeness of the series. If we don't hear any word of GS2 being released to America over the next six months, I'm calling for a petition!

Edgeworth starts off as kind of an unlikable bastard, but he becomes one of the coolest characters in the series, especially by the end of episode 4. He's also far less annoying than Von Karma, who objects to practically everything you say.
But yeah, they're translating the games but only on cell phones for the moment. We all assume GS2 will be in there somewhere.
GS3 has Chinami and Godot though...

Kurt: I gotta admit, Edgeworth was nothing but pricklike in Chapter 2, particularly around the end of White's testimony. However, I'm knee-deep in the Steel Samurai mystery of Chapter 3, and now, I feel sorry for the guy! He was totally flabbergasted with Oldbag on the stand! She was... tricky to deal with. Two penalties incurred, but I got through it by keeping my wits about me. This game is awesomer than I am. I really couldn't sleep, I just kept playing it until... 3:00 a.m. or so? Even my brother's fascinated with it! ;D MP: WHOA! That's quite a bit of money, but it's worth every quarter. In my case, patience really paid off. About a month ago, I called the awesome local game store to see what they knew about PW, and the response was that new copies would be reissued around the end of March. Well... it was the end of March two days ago, so I called again, and they had a brand-new copy which they held for me. Tomorrow (or yesterday, as the case may warrant), I finally had it... for $40. Not shabby in the least! Patience does have its rewards after all. Hey, wait... Interstella 5555... that film wouldn't happen to be connected with Daft Punk in any way?

Ha, the Fry's by my house just got 15 copies of this game. Good thing I already got it, though.

Anyway, yes, it is connected with Daft Punk in every possible ways.

WHEW!!! Chapter 3 was an extreme ballbuster! I could manage it well enough for a while, but Vasquez's testimony nearly destroyed me early on! So, I started over on it... and I still damn near lost! Only through a huge crapload of thinking (which probably resulted in my current headache >_<) did the NOT GUILTY verdict resound... but it was quite the battle. And quite the fascinating turnout as well.
... Karma is going to SUCK to deal with in Chapter 4...

Ack! 89 bucks? I thought the prices dropped when Capcom sent an additonal shipment?

Ack! 89 bucks? I thought the prices dropped when Capcom sent an additonal shipment? I bought the game from eBay a month ago. At the time all the prices were still high. I just couldn't wait any longer, and had to buy this game ASAP. Besides I had no idea whether Capcom would produce more copies of the game or not (the upcoming European release wasn't an option, because I dislike their boxes over the US ones).

I would love to buy this game myself. After having played the "demo" translation of the third game (the first case) I'm hooked on the series. Unfortunately, the one stumbling block is that I can't read a word of Japanese, despite having learned a small portion of the language a couple years back.

Cheezus H. Rice! I've just been through the hardest testimony yet... which I lost twice already! My feeble intellect somehow managed to find a connection, but it was fairly subtle. I can't say much else, except for this: I nominate Manfred von Karma for the honor of 'The Biggest Douche in the Universe!!!'

Ok, I got my copy in the post a few days ago and have managed to find the time to play through the first 2 chapters and past Ms.Oldbags segment in chapter 3. First of all- Kurt, thanks for drawing my attention to the game, it is totally awesome. Secondly: it would have been worth those silly ebay asking prices (I've paid more for a lot worse) but I am still glad I picked it up for a more sensible price! I didn't know what to expect really even having read your articles- and having played it I still cannot quite describe what it is like- the only game I can say it reminds me of is Snatcher for the investigation portions. Bar that, it really is quite unique and refreshing I hope to god Capcom see some sense and even release some sort of compilation of the other GBA titles onto a single DS or GBA cart- is it too much to ask?

I agree with most of what you guys said. I managed to get an import copy of the new shipment (just 29 bucks!) and I'm totally in love with it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Kurt!
