Serious here. If you know of any arcades near you, post the name and any other information you have here.
Let's see if we can get a good directory up here for future reference.
Dave & Buster's at the Pallisades Mall in West Nyack, NY.
Arcade @ the food court in the Pallisades Mall in West Nyack, NY.
There's one in the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ as well, Kurt will have to remember the name though.

Think the closest thing to an arcade over here is the Gameworks in Chicago.
Considering the increasing quality in consoles, its no wonder that the Arcades are dying out here in America.

Putt-Putt is the only one in Houston TX I know of, although the arcade there isn't to big, plus about half of them are the kind where you win tickets. However, they do have the game Panic Park, so all is forgiven.

Dave & Busters is a SHAM. They had House of the Dead 4 but other than that one MAME cabinet that has been there for years, everything else is all racing and shooting games, and not even good ones. Hell, the only 3D fighting game there is Tekken 4 and that is just embarassing. The one in the food court isn't much better, even though they had Planet Harriers for a few months.
Fun and Games in Willowbrook is OK. Chinatown Fair in NYC is probably the best one I know of in the Northern NJ/NY area. Surprisingly, the small arcade in Port Authority is relatively decent, they have a MAME cabinet with a HUGE selection of games. Cheap too. They also once had a Street Fighter 3 cabinet beating a marquee of its original name, Three.
There is also one in the Rockaway Mall but it is terrible. It was really shady when I was a kid (my father insists it's a front for drug dealers) and they redid it to be all kiddy, but the place is still lame, other than that After Burner-ish game. Plus me and Matt Brown were kicked out of there because we were watching Ed play DDR and not spending money. Retards.
There's also some huge kiddie place in Hanover NJ along route 10, but it's mostly like Dave and Busters. They did have a TMNT cabinet there, but all of the screaming kids make it unbearable.

In the Circle Centre Mall in Indianapolis they have a Gameworks which is basically one of those huge arcades that consist of nothing but racing games, shooting games, NFL Blitz and an outdated fighting game like Tekken 4. The one saving grace of the place is that on Tuesday afternoons you can get free plays on everything for only 10 bucks.
It's a shame that what we all once knew as arcades is DEAD.

There's a place in Oregon called Wunderland (not sure which city - I think it's Beaverton). It's a nickel arcade, but they charge admission as well. There's also a few Chuck E Cheeses around here but the games all suck (outside of Star Wars Racer Arcade and the Ms. Pac Man 20th Anniversary box).
Oh also, in Wilsonville is a place called Family Fun Center (probably has Bullwinkle's in the name somewhere now) that has LOTS of arcade games - including a few Time Crisis games, the Atari Tetris machine, Off The Wall, and a few good racing games too. I suppose they charge admission as well.

Forgot about one very important arcade. It's in Seaside Heights, NJ. It's near Klee's Restaurant. But this arcade, if it is still there...has a classic arcade room with a honest to god Capcom machine with a Megaman Fighting game, along with all the classic arcade cabinets from 20 years ago.

Only thirty minutes away from my house is pure paradise. I don't go there as often as I probably should, but it just makes each trip all the more worthwhile. I nearly spent all of a five-dollar quarter jag last time I was there! It's got a little bit of everything for everyone. Do behold! www.classicarcadegaming.com/locations/ca/index.htm

The arcades over here in Belfast are worse than dead too for the better part. There are 3 I know of, but personally the novelty racing/dancing/gun game machines don't exactly tickle my fancy. You occasionally get gems like a nice 2d fighter or Hokuto no Ken: Fighting Mania showing up though

Putt-Putt is the only one in Houston TX I know of, although the arcade there isn't to big, plus about half of them are the kind where you win tickets. However, they do have the game Panic Park, so all is forgiven. There's Planet Zero on Westheimer. It has KOF XI, Hokuto no Ken, SF3:3rd Strike, GGXXSlash, F-Zero GX(?), Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, Puzzle Bobble 4, Killer Instinct, Dragon Ball Z (that new arcade one), Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, The Rumble Fish 2, Para Para Paradise, another dance game I can't remember the name of and another racing game. Nice selection, most of the fighting games are in the cabinets that you sit down and play against someone on the other side. All from Japan. Then, there's Stargate which is I believe at the University of Houston, but I've never been. They have a focus on competetive Capcom fighting so they have just about every major Capcom fighting game. In Humble there's a Tilt in Deerbrook Mall that has Marvel VS Capcom 2, SVC Chaos (which, last I checked was busted), Tekken 5, Dance Dance Revolution, Soul Calibur 2, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, House of the Dead (not sure which), Time Crisis (2, I think), and a variety of other common arcade games. Pretty decent, but it's obvious that the workers don't care much about the machines.

Not sure if it still exists or not, but I believe there was a place in Tigard, OR called Twitch Games that wasn't so much an arcade as an arcade machine reseller. They would purchase old games and refit/repair them, and sell them for $1,000 at most to consumers. They also had empty cabinets and flyers that collectors and hobbyists could get.
Last I heard, though, they either moved or went out of business.

The closest thing to an arcade here an indoor soccer building called All American. Located on Rosehill Road in Lexena KS. They have Raiden 2, Strikers 1945, Ehrgeiz, X-men vs Street Fighter, and a few other games that didn't catch my attention. I've never actually seen anyone play any of the games there, and the X-men vs Street Fighter machine has a fucked up monitor, the right edge of the screen cuts off and the picture isn't up to proportion for a Capcom fighting game.
