The only real place to play any arcade games here...in all honesty...is down at Jersey shore points, mostly, anyplace that has a boardwalk, and attracts families.
Mostly, I recommend Seaside Heights, Wildwood, Point Pleasant, and Ocean City. Mainly, these places are only in opperation from Memorial Day through the end of September.
That's about all I can think of that truly would have any decent variety of games in NJ.

There is also one in the Rockaway Mall but it is terrible. It was really shady when I was a kid (my father insists it's a front for drug dealers) and they redid it to be all kiddy, but the place is still lame, other than that After Burner-ish game. Plus me and Matt Brown were kicked out of there because we were watching Ed play DDR and not spending money. Retards. I remember when that happened. I was actually waiting to play some Soul Calibur II while watching Ed playing DDR and the guy just kicks us out for loitering. Bastards. The Game World in the Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, NJ is actually pretty good in comparison to the Rockaway one. The guys who run it there aren't shitheads, though a lot of the goth teen crowd hangs out there. Also a lot more spacious than that hole in the wall in Rockaway. Also, how's Sportsworld on Rt. 17 in Paramus these days? Otherwise, I don't know about other arcades 'round these parts outside of the Shore or the ones already mentioned by Kurt and Bill.

Here in Iceland there's only one "arcade" I know of. It's part of a bowling parlor and the only relatively good game seems to be Puzzle Bobble, other than that they've got Tekken Tag Tournament, a skiing game, a snow-vehicle racer and some other unnotables.
There's also a liner that goes from Iceland, to the Faeroe Islands, from there to the Shetland Isles, on to Denmark, quick stop at Norway and then back to Iceland. They've got Point Blank, some other shooter, Cruis'n World, a Daytona racer and some other cabinets of no interest.
