Sutte Hakkun is a great game for the SNES...well, actually the Super Famicom...well, ACTUALLY it was for the BS-X Satellaview...and it was also released in the Nintendo Power Series...but that's beside the point. Sutte Hakkun is an absolute gem, and it's a shame Nintendo hasn't resurrected the series (it'd be a perfect fit for GBA). Sutte Hakkun is one of those games you go into not having a clue what's going on. Although the learning curve for the game is low, things seem a bit complicated at first. The player controls the lead character; a transparent humming-bird like creature, who can suck up anything through its proboscis. The point of the game is to simply make it to the goal (or goals) placed somewhere in every level. To do this, the player must suck up blocks and special "attribute" colors; red, blue, and yellow. All the colors affect the level progression differently when injected into the blocks; red moves the blocks up and down, blue from side to side, and yellow moves them diagonally (in relation to the direction in which you injected the color). Simple, right? Well, yeah, but the player is forced to utilize these block and color combinations in various ingenious ways. What ways, you ask? Well, I'm not telling, at least right now...I'm tired and want to go to bed, but I'll finish this little..."mini article" as soon as possible. Here's some screenshots to help make the wait more bearable:

I actually played this game over the summer. This is an enjoyable puzzle game with many great qualities: cute graphics, catchy music (I pray for an SPC rip of the soundtrack someday), excellent concept, and high challenge.
