Gonna try this Youtube thing for now - here's a short video of Kuzunoha Raidou: youtube.com/watch?v=oWOt3Vmr8bMShows off a few battle scenes and how the demon powers world when investigating. Any requests?

Neato! Looks like some good asskicking to be had there... a bit more action-oriented than your conventional RPG.
Hmmmmmm... maybe a bit of footage from Streetwise so I could get an idea of how it looks and/or plays... and how much swearing there is. Also a bit of Shinobi Legions... I've heard lots of bad about it, and yet, there has been some defense on its gameplay.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... maybe the Russian Roulette scene from Killer 7, just because I like that bit so much for some reason. ;D

Very nice sample, thanks. I have to admit I'm a bit repulsed by the idea of random battles in towns, but the game certainly looks interesting enough in other areas. Also, what was that first creature you had tagging along - a ukoback, as also seen in Castlevania?
Anyway, I would personally focus on games that have less footage out there - for example, the Ys remakes by Taito. Granted, they probably aren't the most amazing things to see in motion, but I'm guessing it's harder to come across movies for them than for the latest Devil Summoner.
Also, I just want to let you know I didn't really meant to suggest this as a "must-have feature". Just more the kind of thing it's occasionally nice to have to show certain things off.
Thanks again!

Yup, the first demon you get is an Ukobach. The second one summoned in battle was the Jack O'Lantern.
Anyway, I've been wanting to put videos up for awhile, I was just too lazy to figure out my stupid capture card and its shitty software. As it turns out, VirtualDub is brilliant for pretty much everything.
I captured some videos of Final Fight Streetwise and they don't work for some reason. I don't know why. I'll mess around with it later. I should be getting in Final Fight Revenge soon (HAHA!) so I'll make some videos of that too. And more Ys, of course.

I think some footage from Power Instinct could really drive home the point of how nuts that game is.

The only PI game I actually own is Groove on Fight - the rest I'll have to grab with emulator.
At least, until they finally release the PS2 version of Matrimelee.

Couldn't you (theoretically) set MAME to emulate using Direct3D, then capture movies from it with FRAPS? Granted, the free version only lets you record videos up to 30 seconds long and up to a certain resolution, but that should be more than enough to capture most short moments (like a super-move in a fighting game).

Wanna freak some people out? Upload some footage of Cho Aniki.
...The PS version with the actual Japanese people and that freaky boss announcer. That'll get you a ton of comments.
Oh, and that Groove on Fight link goes to the first FF clip.

Hmmmmmm... y'know, Streetwise doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Though, the fighting system could be a bit better... I noticed you had some trouble trying to grapple that one guy. Tried about six times before you connected.

Yeah the grappling is a bit off, especially in arcade mode. Keep in mind that during the story mode, the camera is completely user controlled, so it's not quite as intuitive. Fixed the Groove on Fight vid and added two more: Ys 3 PS2 (pffft leveling in Ys games is for losers....) www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y_Q2vn-SyMYs 5 PS www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoMoNZE2DnMKeep in mind I edited load times (mostly) out of these, so they're much shorter than they are in the actual game, especially for Groove on Fight.

I love that someone already left a comment. Probably was expecting a combo vid. Granted I think the difficulty is on the lowest level and I am not overly familiar with the game to pull off super moves. Heh. Heh heh heh. Allow me to call up the quote in question: Heheheheheheh. Ohhhhh, the idiocy. The idiocy that radiates and permeates through my skin membrane. WARNING: VICIOUS ANGER AND PROFANITY AHEAD Yeah, not all of us are the best at games that we aren't very familiar with. You probably didn't know that Kurt had the lowest difficulty and didn't know the moves all that well. That's still no goddamn reason to blast the man who presented it. Not everything you see on the Internet is like that video where Ken parried every hit of Chun-Li's super combo. That was a once-in-a-lifetime event, and it'll never happen again, I wager. So don't expect another fucking video like it! Don't expect to earn any points by bashing videos for rare and obscure games that not too many people know about, and it's not fucking likely that they'll see any such footage elsewhere! AND DON'T FUCKING TELL KURT TO KILL HIMSELF, YOU FUCKING ASSGOBLIN COCKSMACKER PISSDRINKER MADDENLOVING ELITIST PRICK FUCKASS!!!!!............................................................................ I am extremely sorry for what I said, but I just had to vent! We need less people like that on the Internet. Hell, we need less people like that on Earth. Goddammit. We probably need less swearing from people like me... I'm sorry again. Is there any limit on this board as to how many F-bombs nuke the territory? ... as for a positive comment, it's nice to see the game running fluidly. I tried it on MAME... Sega Titan Video + Unextraordinary processor = Choppy to the ninth degree and more unresponsive than Tom Cruise. Yikes. I gotta ask... WTF is with the alien baby mutant head freak thingy in the background?!

WTF is with the alien baby mutant head freak thingy in the background?! It runs better on my computer than the Cotton games did, even though it's still pretty much unplayable. Anyway, the stage is the M.A.D. scientist stage which I guess accounts for the baby head thing. Reminds me of Darkstalkers. I don't care about the comment, really - the internet is full of retards so you can't take stupid comments like that with any seriousness. If I were actually offended I would delete it, but I think the poster made enough of an idiot of themselves.

I really despise that game actually, so I don't ever want to pay money for it. I need to upload the intro to the PS2 Choaniki, I put some screencaps and the song up for it, but it's oh-so-much better in "motion".
