I was digging through my old hard drive and found my old senior project from college, dubbed Shining Force Ripoff. Figured I'd upload it, since for an extremely amateur project, it is kind of not too bad.

Here is the documentation:

Basically, it is an SRPG similar to Shining Force. You move each of your characters over terrain and must kill all of the opposing characters. Your current character is highlighted with their movement range, and the next character is automatically highlighted when you move. However, if you're next to an enemy, it allows you to choose a foe to attack (click the left mouse button.) You can also get stats of each character (friend or foe) by right clicking on them. When your turn is over, all of the enemies characters move at once (never implemented a way to make them smooth) and then it's your turn again.
Almost all of the characters have specific skills - the main guy (well, the main sprite from Shining Force) can push enemies back, the mage chick saps enemy HP each time she attacks and can heal other members in exchange for her health (left click on any of them) while the little elf dude drains strength and defense of enemies each time he attacks. The male mage dude can counterattack, and the bulky knight is just really slow but powerful.
Just don't minimize it, it'll crash. If it doesn't work, unfortunately I can't help. It uses MFC classes but my technicaly knowledge in dealing with things is limited.
BONUS MINI-GAME:
Scrollbar

Both scroll bars are rushing towards their goals! Click to drag them away, but if one reaches the end, it's game over! Get the highest points and post it here if you're god-awful bored enough. I programmed this in GUI class in like five minutes and spent most of my time playing it.
