Can anyone recommend me a program that I can use to take screenshots from my DVD movies? Preferably something that can automatically take screenshots like each second. I promised to a friend of mine that I would take lots of screenshots from Ys animes for his website, but haven't found an efficient way to take them. As long it's for Windows, I don't mind whether it's freeware or shareware.
Thanks in advance.

There are a couple of ways. AnimGet - www.americangirlscouts.org/agsresources/Programs.htmlThis is a program used for sprite ripping and animations. Basicly it takes a screen shot every 10 milliseconds and compares it to the last. If it has changed it will be saved in memory ready to be saved to file's. This will work with videos too. (This will get you many useless screen shots but is the most automatic way) Fraps - www.fraps.com/This program will allow you to take the screen shots by pressing a button and then saves it to a folder for you. (This way you only get the shots you want but you have to press a button everytime you want one.)

Fraps seems interesting. I'll have to try that one out. Thanks.
Any more suggestions?

Media Player Classic, which plays DVD's, also has a screenshot feature (I believe it's in the File menu). I've taken screenshots from several videos using it.
Best of all: it's free/open source.
