Underappreciated Games

This is a topic where we talk about games we like that everybody else seems to hate, expound on their merits and wonder what the heck everybody thought was so wrong with them.
I'd like to start:
Crusader of Centy
"It's a Zelda rip-off" cries the critics. Now, I don't know what game said critics are playing, but it obviously isn't Crusader of Centy, which I found to have very little in common with Zelda--it's faster paced and the game mechanics and character abilities are completely different! Seriously, Landstalker is more of a Zelda clone than Centy (not to diss Landstalker, just making a point).
Centy is a very fast-paced and fun action-RPG with great music, and an awesome storyline that is more complicated than most video games, moreso because it causes the player to question the morality of his own actions instead of just the usual "You good, they bad, slay bad things." Oh yea, your hero gets a lot of fun powers too. I just found the game overall to be more fun than Zelda (though to be honest, I thought all the Zeldas past the first two were kind of overrated to begin with).
Aero the Acro-Bat
Just about every website I read criticizes not only the games, but the character as well. Okay, yes, maybe the bat was made to cash in on the "animals with attitude" trend begun by Sonic the Hedgehog, but the games were awesome. Admittedly, the first game was a bitch in difficulty (though just yesterday I DID manage to beat it without cheating), but hey, I like challenge.. especially challenge accompanied by great music.
Though the second Aero game was a great improvement over the first (unlike the second Bubsy game).
And, the seminal "I like it but near everyone else hates it" game:
Hydlide
While Hydlide obviously isn't going to be as good as something like Dragon Warrior or Ultima, I find that it works for what it is: The world's first and possibly only "Coffee-Break RPG." Want all the fun of an RPG without wanting to dedicate 30+ hours? Play Hydlide.
