Holy Craps is that true. I've read Maus and I can't believe he'd be associated with Dinosaurs Attack which seems even more bloodier than Mars Attacks (remember the classroom and bus scene). Also, I like Burton's interpretation if only for being it's own ensamble class of actors trying to take on Independence Day. Plus, he threw in a Ray Harryhausen, and he wins my heart for that. Still I miss the giant insects, freeze rays, and tidal waves. A Mars Attacks or Dinosaur Attacks video game would be beastly.

I've actually found two pretty long videos of Primal Rage 2 from this arcade! www.twitch.tv/gallopingghostarcade/b/540914134www.twitch.tv/gallopingghostarcade/b/540938626I don't think I really should write about this until the far off future of 2062 when I can actually play this, but I think I probably could, now. It's... not quite the hidden treasure I was hoping for, honestly. Still, it looks like it beats the CRAP out of Vicious Circle. Things I've figured out, at random: - You can play as the human avatars, their dinosaur counterparts, or a third variant that can switch between the two at will, at the cost of having no super meter. - The PR1 characters look like they have their sprites ripped directly from the first game, although I think they get a couple of new animations for things like win poses. - There's only one type of super move, that changes your character into their animal form, (Or their human form for the dinos) who then performs a quick auto-combo. Apparently there's four variants of these super moves, including one that can only be done mid-combo. - There's six buttons in an SF-2 style setup, and apparently you can chain attacks together like a Darkstalkers game? - No idea if fatalities are in this version. You are instructed to "DO IT!" (Real creative there, Atari) at the end of every match, but I don't know if you can do the thing you're apparently supposed to be doing. - Necrosan is kind of lame. He doesn't even die fancy like an MK boss. - The health bars look straight out of KI2, so no more exploding hearts. Laaaaaame.

Lot of the, um, lamer aspects are probably beta stuff. For sprite similarity I bet they got that effect by re-using the same models for digitization.

PRII coming soon on MAME. Waaaaaay ahead of you.Update coming "eventually". There's a certain other 90s fighting game that needs some love. I'm also considering getting that book, if it's cheap enough.

Sweet. Always cool to read more info about Primal Rage 2. I wonder who has the rights to this series now. Having just read up a bit on the Primal Rage board games and a comic book series I wasn't aware of I'm now really disappointed that I have more things to purchase. 4thletter.net/2011/03/the-primal-rage-comic-its-on-like-blizzard/
