*This is strickly about the Arcade versions*
The internet is such a big place and misinformation runs rampant in huge quantities.
So, the Parodius games released on the Arcades are:
Parodius Da!
Gokujo Parodius!
Sexy Parodius
Parodius Da! only came out in Japan as far as I know, but MAME lists the game as having a 'world' release, yet it is in Japanese too.
I thought Gokujo Parodius!stayed in Japan too, but looking at the Parodius article here I noticed it was released in Europe as "Fantastic Journey". Pity MAME doesn't play it yet, I would love to see if the endings are translated (they probably butchered them).
I also wonder why is system16 (www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=574&page=1#851) calling the game Gokujyou Parodius / Fantastic Journey / Parodius 2 / Parodius Excellent?
Did this game have a limited release in the USA or other parts of the world to have those "parodius 2 & Parodius Excellent" names?
System16 wouldn't make up those names, so they must have come from somewhere.
Sexy parodius, a Japan only release too? Why does KLOV list it as "also called Fantastic journey 2"?
Was it released in Europe?
I heard that PSX Parodius Collection was released in Europe too, maybe Sexy Parodius was called Fantastic journey 2 there and KLOV used it as if the Arcade release had the same fate?
Another thing, system16 lists Twin Bee Yahhoo! as: "Twin Bee Yahhoo! / Magical Twin Bee"
Where was the game called Magical Twin Bee? Did it have an European release?
As far as I know the only Arcade TwinBee released outside Japan was Detana twinbee and it was called Bells & Whistles.
Anyone know wtf is up with all that?
