I don't know if this counts as emulation, but I recently got interested in Amigas so that I could play stuff like Apidya and Shaq Fu more respectable Amiga game. Whenever I try to boot it up, it says something about kickstart. I found some vague hints as to what kickstart is (some kind of disk that was supposed to come with it?). Any idea on how to get it to start working?

Kickstart is the Amiga BIOS - you'll need a different one for each model of Amiga. 1.3 for the 500, 3.1 for the 1200.

I cant seem to find aimga disk images any were online and set up of winaue is a pain in the butt, I dont know were to even start. Help? A lot of the rom sites are closed down, bud. Therefore torrents! Get a VPN and go to town. The kickstart ROM is highly protected, and thus difficult to find. However, if you’re willing to pay, these guys sell a package that includes kickstart ROMs. www.amigaforever.comTheir Program also has a nice front end also so you don’t have to mess with winUAE. However, you’re going to have more control, and more fun if you figure out WinUAE. It’s not that complicated, just horribly presented and doesn’t explain anything. If you want to PM me I can try to help you through it. I have to reteach myself every time I use it.

Groupees occasionally has Amiga Forever in one of its bundles for dirt cheap if you want to keep things legal. But of course there's no way of knowing when such a sale will happen. groupees.com/remutexx5
