I think there were fake photos of the Rustin Parr trial? So it's not like his visual appearence was a secret or anything. Given that other central characters like Robin Weaver are in, I'd say that was more of a deliberate choice.

Elly Kedward I could imagine being taboo, but I don't know all the suplementary material, maybe she's in the comic books or something.
