From what little I saw of Ex-Patriot, I also thought like all of you that it was definitely NOT the Rush'n Attack I know and love. It did look as if Konami just wanted a Shadow Complex of their own. I gotta say that the XBLA version is the way to go (on a console; the Konami collections on GBA and DS are the way to go for some Rush'n Attack), even with the crappy filters (even though you can disable them) and remixed sound (which you sadly can't disable, at least in the demo version). Ex-Patriot does not look like a Rush'n Attack sequel to me.
M.I.A., however, is the complete opposite. Gotta play that one.
