Also... not to be obnoxious or anything... but I just figured I'd point out that Ys Strategy is a game licensed from Falcom and developed by Marvelous... and I'm an employee of a company that's partnered with Falcom, with the newly-formed Marvelous AQL as our parent company in Japan. My point in mentioning this? Pretty much just to suggest that you might want to think before announcing to the world that you pirated a video game. You know... exercise discretion, and only really mention it if you have to, etc. Because yeah... while I don't really care that you pirated the game, personally, it does seem a bit awkward, don't you think? -Tom

Actually, Ys Strategy was developed by Future Creates. Marvelous was the publisher in Japan (and Rising Star Games in Europe). Yeah, I haven't played it myself, but I do know that it's been dubbed "Ys Tragedy" by all the members of the Ancient Land of Ys forum. (: I started this trend! (:

Wait, XSEED is owned by Marvelous? You learn something new every day....

AQI was our parent company, and Marvelous just acquired AQI. Though I wouldn't really say they OWN us... We're very much an independent publisher. They just... look after us a bit, I guess? -Tom

I'm not sure I understand the distinction, but okay. I guess I always kind of assumed XSEED was a privately held independent company. There wasn't really any particular reason for my thinking that though.

To be honest, I don't really understand the distinction myself, even though it's been explained to me quite thoroughly. (: But for the most part, we ARE a privately-held independent company. We elected to take on AQI as a parent company after we'd already existed for quite some time, and... I guess that's a whole different process than when a company gets bought out?
I don't really get it. But I don't really have to, either -- I just have to translate, edit and do other miscellaneous tasks that don't involve money or power at all. (Not directly, anyway!)
And there's nowhere else I'd rather be, quite honestly. (:

LIVIN' THE DREAM!
Seems everytime Falcom outsources, bad things happen. Ys DS games, VI PSP laaaaaag, Ys IV and V PS2 (I dunno, I found them to look really... cheaply made).
