Has anyone else here played this little-known Taito SNES title? It's extremely challenging, but it turns out to be a completely awesome variation upon the theme of Marble Madness: it's a 2D game in which you can turn a maze around 360 degrees (using Mode 7 effects) in order to try to get an infuriatingly bouncy ball through to a goal before time runs out. Like in MM, time left after one level carries over to the next.
It's mouse compatible, which allows considerably greater control over how you tilt the maze, but it's plain out hard no matter what controller you use. Surprisingly addictive though.

It's quite the innovative and challenging puzzle game! I know it better as the VERY oddly name "Cameltry" in arcade form. Can anyone explain the significance of this title? At one stage in the background, you see a Camel struggling to move along and he says, "I'm trying!" ROFL

The game is pretty cool, but really gets difficult even early on. Definitely a great underapperciated classic.

I love this game. The music in the arcade version is pretty memorable (even if it isn't really anything special).

There was a DS game that came out in Japan a little while back called Mawashite Koron (or something like that) that was supposedly a big Cameltry rip off. Then some other company published it in Europe actually under the name Cameltry, so I dunno if it's officially tied to Taito or what the deal is.
But anyway, yeah, fun game.

Yeah, the DS game is a legit entry in the series. A friend of mine imported it, and I was able to give it a little bit of a try. Twas pretty fun, but On the Ball still seems better. I could do without all the kawaii anime girl crap too. It has an entirely different feel from On the Ball, which freaked me out with its bizarre music and imagery and the cryptic stage titles and end quotes. All around, Cameltry is a WEIRD game. o_O I love it, though; it was one of the best gaming mistakes I ever had (was clueless about gaming at the time and I told my mom I wanted a pinball video game, not knowing of any specific titles at the time, and she ended up getting me On the Ball). I think I mentioned it before, but, yeah, a Cameltry article would rock.
Also, for a funny side story, it's become a habit of mine and my boyfriend that whenever we're walking around out in public and see a chick with a nasty camel toe we say something like: "A lot of Cameltry going on here."

I know of three sites that have EVERYTHING, but I'm afraid of my legal status turning to "convicted pirate"

Hehehe, we pirates rock. On the ball is a nice little gem, just wish it would last longer. The snes version is too short.
