First and foremost, It's going to be updated occasionally. We have one game tonight for first.
Name: Holy Diver
Company: IREM
System NES
Holy diver is a fairly noteworthy castlevania
clone for the nes developed and published by IREM
It's out of the same vein, Demons castles and all that
(Surprisingly no swimming to be done that i've seen)
It get's it's name from a bands album named dio from the 80's
It's got really good gameplay with some questionable enemy design
(Zombies are replaced by midgits in red hoods wtf)
And solid graphics for it's time. By solid graphics I mean
"Alot of sprites are castlevania ripoffs"
It's fairly short (Six stages) But has it's challenging bits and some decently fine blips and beeps of a soundtrack.
The game is traditional fantasy romp through a castle. Fine platforming bits here an there.
What couldn't you ask for (Besides whips and vampires, that is)
Unfortunately the game only comes in two flavors. Japanese and Mandarin. You wil be getitng the japanese version in this Pack
(Later)
Game:
Ninja Rinseout
By: OneMoreLevel
System: Web Browser (!)
arcadepod.com/games/play.php?id=ninjarinseout
Ninja Rinseout is this month's Copout.
It's a fine and very simplistic web browser game.
There are no magic spells, Fireballs or dragons.
It's a classic quest to save the princess Stealth action style.
You get two attacks. Standing and ducking.
The objective is to take out the enemy without being spotted which is easier said then done. Witht he ability of wall run and a falling slash (That's it for specials) You've got to Wait and think when to attack. It's pure gaming bliss in browser form
Name: BAHAMUT LAGOON
Company: Squaresoft (Or Square Enix rather)
Year: 1996
System: SNES
If you cant tell it's the best looking game on the SNES
Released in JAPAN in 1996 Bahamut lagoon
was possibly the best game for the SNES
A SRPG Of no other bahamut lagoon makes you use that brain to the fullest. Heal this unit or transport his dragoon?
Will these mages erradicate me if i attack here?
Bahamut lagoon has had it's share of controversy. Like msot JAP games Every translation patch that attempted always failed or died.
(The same with fireemblem) But hellf roze over in 2002 when the most talented rom translation group combined there forces and released the full patch.
Expect a zip with all of these titles soon and on fileshack!
