Nope, the drinking age is 20 here, but it's generaly tolerated in the hands of 18 years old or older. In denmark there's no minimum age, but the purchase age is 16.
Southern comfort in fanta with a little lime is awesome.

Here in Israel there is no really minimum age either, and the purchase age is 18. In small shops though, everyone will sell alcohol even if you are 15, but I guess that's everywhere.

Here, most alcahol is sold in state-run stores, but there's also bars and convention halls with licenses...So you really can't just go to the next convenience store when you're out of beer on a Sunday.

...so children under 21 are the only ones that get to drink? That sucks!
Whatever happened to a black person's inability to vote, and duty to fight wars?

America's drinking age (21) is way too high. Unfortunately they can't change it because there would be too many parties and deaths right after they change the law. Plus, you'd have some ultra-conservative religious groups complaining like they do about everything else.

I will admit, though, that many people 18 and over drink anyway despite the law. If you are in college, the drinking just enhances the fun!
