AnachronoxUpdate the graphics and completely overhaul the combat to make it less boring and terrible. Then follow it up with the looong overdue sequel. Panzer Dragoon seriesI'd be happy with just a HD Collection to make it playable on modern systems, but I guess you could also redo the graphics in the Saturn games. GamerL, Double Fine is actually working on Full Throttle Remasted similar to Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle.

MDK deserves a reboot by way of Night Dive, or maybe Devolver Digital. The perfect blend of sleek style, shoot-em-up action and general absurdity in my book.
Maybe Platinum could pull another Vanquish-type game out of it! Maybe Flying Wild Hog could take a bold new direction with it, like they did with Shadow Warrior!
Maybe... Eh, you get the idea.

DaggerfallSuch a great character creation system saddled to a game with more potential than realization. It's so fun coming up with different combos of advantages and disadvantages like a warrior that regenerates HP in darkness but can only regain MP from being hit by magic. They're not as varied overall as Fallout's Traits, but it's still fun. It is somewhat broken though. High Elves are immune to paralysis but do not lose this if Critical Weakness to Paralysis is selected so they get free Advantages if you do this. The issues with the game mostly stem from overambition with is at least admirable in a certain sense. You get such a huge game world made up of many kingdoms with individual reputations for each one, but this is offset by the fact that the actual world is fairly barren between fast travel points. Elements that would have differentiated each kingdom somewhat like inter-kingdom warfare were never implemented. There are joinable orders for every deity, but they are all pretty much the same. There was much fanfare about the randomly generated dungeons, but they were randomly generated by Bethesda to avoid hand making hundreds of them. They can charitable be described as shaped like mating octopuses. The main story dungeons are hand made at least. Last, but certainly not least, are the myriad of bugs that still still exist in the final version. I had internet access when the game came out, so I managed to keep tabs on patches. It must have been nothing but pain for people that had to rely on magazine disks and official mailings for them. The game still randomly does not let you jump at all until relaunched. You can climb walls but not descend them. You can fall through seams in dungeons. Purely cosmetic, but snow doesn't fall properly while you're moving. There's probably more minor stuff I'm forgetting. My problem with the Elder Scroll games in general is that they haven't been Daggerfall But Better. They've been Daggerfall But Less. Advantages and Disadvantages are basically gone. Dungeons are handmade and fewer but out of reused chunks like Daggerfall's were anyway. Less used skills like the languages are just dumped instead of improved. Randomized quests are gone. Basically anything that doesn't work is just jettisoned instead of reworked into something better. It's still pretty good as is. All it really needs is true randomization for dungeons that actually look like buildings and a less barren overworld. Towns are made up of reused sections like dungeons but it's less problematic overall. They could stand to be smaller though to lessen the bumbling around that comes with visiting a town you'll never go back to for a quest. Improvements to some of the less implemented and unimplemented features would be nice too. -- AnachronoxUpdate the graphics and completely overhaul the combat to make it less boring and terrible. Then follow it up with the looong overdue sequel. Shame Part 2 was never made. I remember reading at one point, '99?, that the game had balloon into a 5 part series, but was scaled back down to two. I wonder what the 5-parter would have been like.

GamerL , Double Fine is actually working on Full Throttle Remasted similar to Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. Interesting, I actually prefer the chunkier graphics style of the original games but it shows they have interest (and I assume control of) in the IP.

Honestly my first reaction when I read 8 Bit Dreams' post was "if they remake SoR with DD Neon's terrible art I'll jump out a window". I'd much rather they left it alone. The people who made these games are unlikely to make another, and no other team will do it quite right. If they want to make a SoR-inspired beat-'em-up, sure. But what's the need for a totally different game to be called "Streets of Rage" anyway? Please don't jump out of a window, you could get hurt. I'd limit to a ground floor window, at the worst. More of a symbolic gesture.

I'd be interested in seeing a remake of Zelda II, or at the very least, a new game done in the same style. The closest I've seen to this is that Shantae game for the Game Boy Color, which does sort of play like Zelda II. I hear that the Adventure Time game on the DS/3DS with the very long title I don't care to type is similar, if you're looking for something more modern. That's also by WayForward, and with the current conversation going on, I just wanna say: I hope Neon gets vindicated over time, now that we've had Arc System Works have their attempt at a new Double Dragon, and it didn't go so well.

I acknowledge that Neon is probably better than DD4, at the very least. Everything I've read and seen of DD4 points to a bad romhack with an official license. I wouldn't even mind the crappy, mismatched graphics if the enemies actually tried to fight you. It's a prime example of why classic series shouldn't be handed over to random people to "revive". Actually, here's a DD remake project I'd support: Super Double Dragon with a proper framerate. Maybe a Super Double Dragon Advance, even.

Undertale.
Just so, you know, you could actually port the thing to other platforms.

This may sound odd, but I'd remake (or at least remaster) the old DC/PSX/PC Walt Disney World kart racer. I'd start by rebalancing the AI. I'd also possibly replace (does anyone still think about the Dinosaur movie?) and add a few courses. Then I'd probably beef up the character roster, which was lacking in the original (possibly with more ride based characters, like Figment).

That was one game that could use some polish. When I replayed it last year, it did feel pretty abrupt and rushed to the market.

I'd like to see From revive some of their older IP, particularly King's Field. The originals are a challenge to go back to these days. And not necessarily a remake, but a cleaned up version of Killer7 would be just lovely. Xenogears - It could use some polish. Really clean up and finalize this game. If Xenoblade and Xenosaga are any indication, I don't think a remake would do Xenogears any favours at all. I've always felt a lot of 32-bit RPGs still hold up today because they lacked any cinematic pretense. Once you start adding in VA and extended cutscenes, the shortcomings in the story-telling really come to light.

Oh man. Super Mario Bros. 3 Altered Beast Golden Axe Sonic Spinball What's wrong with SMB3? Definitely agree with Sonic Spinball, would love to see a remake/sequel with better physics.
