Sign me up for both too, I'm in like Flynn. (Didn't realize I hadn't signed up for the tourney yet, lol.)

Be sure to record your matches for future posterity if you can!

Look, I know this is all for fun, but how is it fair that a handful of us skip an entire round/some get an extra round?
Why not all play each other league style and the highest ranked from those fights become the top 8 to enter the tournament? Sorry if I'm coming off as overbearing.

Sorry, that's just how the tournament organizer I used set things up. Apparently 10 people isn't enough to split everything equally, so it had to place some people off at the side to be fit in. I'd look into your idea, but wouldn't that mean that people have to play more matches? Please remember that this first tournament is sort of a 'beta test', as it sure. We want to see what works and what doesn't, and if this doesn't work, we'll figure something else out.

I'll fight anyone extra if need be. Honestly, I care not, and I suck at official organization anyway. We're all incredibly new at this, but who knows. In five years, we could have our very own Cross Counter sponsorship. God forbid.

In a game such as Arch Rivals, it could be based on a single quarter of play. You could always also condense them into two pools if the number is even, 4 fights a person, that weeds out at least one person per group who can fight against the last competitor of the next group for the bottom place. Anyways, I'll be on MAMEhub later to check it out/play in the background. Have fun everybody.

It should be noted that matches are best 2 out of 3: the first person to win two rounds wins.

Right now! Keep in mind we AREN'T doing best 2 out of 3 for Arch Rivals, because the games tend to run for a while.

Yep! According to our torunament bracket, seen above this post, muteKi and Snareface need to go against each other to see who goes against you. Then Ryusi and Dooz need to play against each other to see who will end up in the finals.
