And that's all the time we've got for sign-ups! We'll start the matches Sunday, so that people have time to practice. I'll put up the bracket sometime before then.
I should point out this time we're offering a special prize! Since we're playing a fighting game with a rather assholish final boss, both of our winners will recieve a personally recorded rant from Sotenga about any fighting game boss of their choosing! As long as he's actually played the game he's from.

OK! This is our setup for Kizuna Encounter. We'll be doing this until next Sunday, when we'll move on to Metal Slug. If anybody needs help getting things set up, just let me or Snarboo know!

We're going to be trying something new for this tournament: I will being sitting in on as many matches as I can and streaming them live as they happen. I would like to stream every match if possible, so we will need to set the matches at around 10:30 PM EST. If that's too late or early for you, let me know!
Edit: As always, feel free to join us on IRC: irc.psigenix.net #gc9x

The first few matches will be streamed in just a few moments! Edit:And that's a wrap for this leg of the tournament! The winner this time is Sotenga! Since he's the winner, I'm not entirely sure what the prize will be. Here's a link to the archived stream.

Well, crap. It was a heck of a fight and I'm grateful to everyone who participated, so I'm going to instead reward the other eight participants with one of three choices: A: A rant on any game boss of your choosing, as originally determined, but you can pick a boss from any genre, not just fighting games. B: A livestream examination of any game of your choosing, terrible or no (though a bad game will probably provide for more rant fuel). C: A two-player match of ANY game of your choosing on MAMEHub (and it doesn't just have to be a fighter also; it can even be co-op!). I'll honor any and all requests, so let me know whenever you want me to do whatever.

...Way of the Warrior. It's a terrible fighting game we don't actually talk about a whole lot, plus, it's one of the few games 3DO emulation doesn't suck at so much!
I will also accept Eternal Champions CD, even if that's not really "terrible".

I vote My Hero for the Sega Master System (or the arcade version - it depends on whether you prefer straight up crappy game, or slightly less crappy game that features completely unnecessary time travel).

Oooh option B with Master System Thunder Blade particularly appeals to me.
