Can anyone recognize these faces from the Famicom game called World Grand Prix? The game was released in 1989, so I guess the faces must belong to famous Formula 1 drivers from the 80s. I know #2 is Nigel Mansell and #6 is Ayrton Senna, but I can't recognize the others.  |

The TCRF article implies the drivers might be named so that might make it more clear. Also, this game was released in the US as Al Unser Jr's Turbo Racing and Al Jr. is all over the game (not surprisingly, of course!) |

#3 and #5 are the only ones I'm missing. Based on the pictures and the Japanese names: 1 = Alain Prost (A.フロスト) 2 = Nigel Mansell (N.マーセル) 3 = Stefan Johansson (S.ジョハンソン) 4 = Nelson Piquet (N.ビッケ) 6 = Ayrton Senna (A.セーナ) Michael Schumacher would not have been in an F1 game released in 89-91. |
