I guess @ Discoalucard planned on writing an article at the time, but never got around to it? I don't think those are my screenshots, and it's kind of weird that they're mostly .gifs (the standard now is .png for game screenshots, mostly .jpg for covers). I don't know if series tags are just indexed automatically as soon as they're created in wordpress, which would explain Link 2, or if this was set up separately. I've written articles covering the mainline games and Game Gear and MegaNet spin-offs, while Kurt will be covering the ports and remakes. I think the main thing left is for him to write about PS Generation 2 (the budget PS2 remake), and then they should be ready to be scheduled. As far as I know, there's no plan to cover PSO & on - whoever does it should have experience playing it online at the time, I'd think, because the offline experience is not that interesting.

Coincidentally we were discussing this one the Dragon Quarter podcast (which we recorded last week but probably won't be up for another month or so). As you can see, the original author of the piece was really, really harsh on the game, so I want to have it rewritten with a more measured take on the game. I figured it was something along those lines, because I remember reading the article a while back on the old site, and I remember the take on it being pretty harsh compared to the rest of the series. I don't follow the podcast (I should, though, since it's been a while since I've followed a podcast), but I'll have to check out the Dragon Quarter episode, since the article made the Dragon Counter and Scenario Overlay systems make the game sound really interesting. - Moving to a different topic, I was looking at the Saga Frontier article (something I thought about trying recently, and I see was covered on the podcast recently ), and I noticed a couple of typos. The Saga Frontier article - www.hardcoregaming101.net/saga-frontier/It should be Kenji Ito instead of Kenji Eno. I actually didn't realize this was a typo at first, and I though Kenji Eno (of D and Enemy Zero fame) did some of the music for Saga Frontier (since I think he did do some music composition). The other typo is in the title of the sequel, where instead of it being, "SaGa Frontier 2", it's "SaGa Froniter 2." It looks like the typo occurs in the page title, as well as all the links to it.
I remember there being some other little errors like that in a few articles I was reading a while back, but now I can't remember what they were.

July 2009 was the date we moved to Kontek, so that directory has been around longer than that. I actually had intentions of writing it much earlier, probably back in 2007, but as you can see, I never got very far. As Toei noted, there is a Phantasy Star series currently in the system that's being worked on...but annoyingly, when we start a "series", it will show up in the searches even if no articles are currently published for it. But it is coming! Currently scheduled for April.

Is there a dark theme? The light one pains me. Click on "Night Mode", upper-right corner.

I could’ve sworn there was an article on Langrisser before but now I can’t find it... Am I blind? Or was it all a dream? Same with Growlanser, I think?

There's an article for Langrisser on the archive site. Don't think there's one for Growlanser. The CSS link is broken on archived articles just so you know. hg101.kontek.net/langrisser/langrisser.htm

Yeah, but even back then, it was never really finished. There was always a blank spot where the Dreamcast review would've gone. It hasn't been ported to the new site since I kept it on low priority and wanted to rewrite/revise it...but it's unlikely I'll have the time in the near future. Growlanser, however, was never covered.

Is it me, or have the NSFW images been removed from the Dragon Knight articles? Is it because with the new system you could no longer have an image different from the preview? Maybe there could have been a link labeled NSFW to still keep them without having to show them directly on the page... or can't they be featured in any way anymore?

Maybe there could have been a link labeled NSFW to still keep them without having to show them directly on the page... or can't they be featured in any way anymore? I uploaded the old one to the new server: www.hardcoregaming101.net/dragonknight/dragonknight.htmThe reason? Google Adsense. Ever since I moved to the new site they've been MUCH stricter on not only "sexually explicit" images (and I put that in quotes because it highlights even relatively innocuous stuff from games like Darkstalkers and Gunbird) but "shocking violent" ones, which means I had to remove large chunks of Bloodrayne, Harvester, and a few others. Even the "CENSORED" ones got flagged. We used to get around this by disabling ads on pages with adult content, which is much harder to implement in Wordpress due to the template, but even then, I'd been getting weekly emails of the random stuff they had problems with. Last month I switched to a different ad host, though, and I don't think they're as restrictive, so it's just a matter of going back to the individual articles and re-adding the shots to the gallery.

Only the Unreal II entry is currently linked to the Unreal series sub-page. The entry for the first Unreal isn't. Might wanna fix that.

I can no longer find the SEGAGAGA article on either the new or the old site, a shame since I think it was the only place (in the Western web sphere at least) where all the fake parody games were listed and explained.

Is there some maintenance being done on the site currently with the review section or more specifically the All Articles section that show all articles alphabetically? I'm using this page to read the website. But today I check it and it doesn't show any articles at all with only a link for HG101 podcasts on another site. Link to it is here.... www.hardcoregaming101.net/alphabetical/Just like to know what's going on.

Now I can get back to reading the articles the way I wanted to.
