Ever had an experience like this?
So, Might and Magic 1 was one of my favorite RPGs (for the NES anyway... the original PC version was a horrible, horrible game), so shortly after playing it, I took a break and then started up Might and Magic II.
Long story short, just about every version of Might and Magic II... sucks, EXCEPT FOR ONE. There is one version that is AMAZING, ASTONISHING, that TRANSCENDS THE SOUL TO NEW REALMS OF ENLIGHTENMENT!
The problem?
That version is for the Super Famicom.
Yea, FAMICOM.
And I don't know THAT much Japanese!
Damn American Sammy for not bringing it over, and the ROM translation community for not, well, translating it! (It's not exactly like that would be hard, considering M&MII was an American game to begin with...)
*Sigh*
Okay, rant over.

[Deleted my previous post cuz I thought it was too mean]
I had HoM&M1 for the PC. Funnily enough, I hated it for years... then it finally clicked with me and became a favorite... only for me to find out the game didn't like a new video card I had installed.
But anyway, this post is about Might and Magic, not Heroes of.

M&M2 for Super Famicom and M&M2 for Euro SNES are not the same game. The Euro SNES version is a lot like the US Sega Genesis version (basically a direct port of the PC version with some game tweaks and better graphics... though the game actually looks better on the Genesis than on Euro SNES). The Japanese Super Famicom version basically reworks the entire game engine so that it plays nothing like any other game in the series, or even like any other version of the same game.
Actually, I wonder if maybe I should do an HG101 Article on all the different versions of M&MII?

That's fine by me. But I'm referring to Dark Messiah. There's a ton of games in the series.

Yea but... I don't understand what you're saying "makes your head spin."
This summarizes just about every PC game ever made.
