www.hardcoregaming101.net/bonanzabros/bonanzabros.htmThis early 90s Sega co-op game ALMOST made it in the first volume of the Sega Arcade Classics book...but I had to cut it for space. It'll be in the next one though! I have to admit that I put other games that I favored like Crack Down, because I initially I didn't much care for Bonanza Bros. But it's more fun in two player than single player mode.

Normally, I think arcade did a better job at BGM than Sega Genesis.
But in the case of Bonanza Bros., I felt the music on the Genesis was an improvement over that of its arcade counterpart. I didn't like how the music on the arcade was all pitched-up.

The Genesis version has been on a couple more compilations: Sega Genesis Collection for PS2 and PSP, and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3 and Xbox 360.

And it's also on the second Genesis collection for PCs (can't remember the uber generic name of those collections).

I've actually played this one. Someone I know got this on the Genesis for 4 dollars back in 2003 and we played it. It was a lot of fun. We saw the opening story and knew that they weren't testing a security system and that you were really playing as criminals. The article is right, by the way. It's not that good with only one player. You need another player to make it fun.

I assume this was intended as "shoot".

And I assume this was meant to read "more colorful".
This "a black convertible"
That one is a bit confusing. Where did that chicken come from?
And the "Discuss on the forums!" links to the Hotline Miami thread.
Also, do we know who originally designed the game?

There was a short period of time where I played the hell out of the Genesis/MD version of Tant-R...

Also, do we know who originally designed the game? "A Chan" That looks more like something someone would enter in the high score table.

Unfortunately, that's all we got, listed as "Original Planner" in the Master System version credits.

Does anyone here think the Bonanza Bros. may have been the inspiration for Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik)? He looks somewhat like them, or was it just a coincidence?

Always liked the concept of this but the original is a bit too simple and short even for MD standards, would've been nice to have seen a fleshed out sequel.
