So, someone’s writing a Fire Emblem article, but doesn’t really use emulators so he doesn’t have much in the way of screenshots. Are any of you guys fans that either have some lying around or would be willing to grab some? Or save states, if you have any? I’m going to start playing through some of them myself as well. The only one of the early games I've played to any extent is #4 on the SFC. Which has a much larger scale than all of the rest. I think there are only ten scenarios or so, but they're huge.
I guess we could talk about Fire Emblem, too. It’s a pretty good series. I guess I find parts of it kind of plain, because the whole thing seems like generic fantasy (along with some generic albeit very well done anime artwork). But even though it lacks the customization/tinkering of Nippon Ichi games or FF Tactics, and lacks the scale of Langrisser (not counting the 4th game), they’re still genuinely decent. They have a much stronger pick up and play aspect, even though it’s not as easy as it first seems.

Yeah, I'll see what I can do for the GBA games. I love fire emblem, Strategy games in the vein of FE and things like Phantom Brave connect me with characters more then the traditional RPG

There are tons of gba gameshark saves that can be loaded with VBA on gamefaqs. zophar also has saves for some of the nes, snes and gba ones. They are all near the last stages or last bosses though. And here is the biggest site/forum community for EVERYTHING Fire Emblem, a LOT of completely crazy and knowledgeable people there. s7.invisionfree.com/FESS/ <--- old url www.velthomer.net/forums/ <--- new url both contain info.
