Golf Story is getting a sequel called Sports Story! I am too excited!!! Despite releasing early in the Switch's life, it is still one of the absolute best games on the system even if you don't like golf.

I assume, it's the one on your profile on the left, right? Haha, if only!
What I meant is that that game is a dating sim-style game that however hides some horror and creepy content. What with Doki Doki Literature Club and shows like Madoka Magica, this kind of thing could become old hat, but I still enjoy it and I want to see if this little game has some cool tricks up its sleeves.

Just my luck. My new Xbox I bought from a flea market a few months ago has trouble opening the tray for game disks to play, it's stuck. I took it to a used game store for help and they couldn't get it to open. They say the best thing to do is get another one as repairing it can be more expensive. Not sure what to do. Repairs might be $100 or more while getting another one would be $70 but the new (used) Xbox could still have the same problem. You're talking about the original Xbox, right? I had the same problem with it. I'm sure you've tried jamming a paperclip or something in that tiny hole underneath the tray, but that thankfully fixed it for me. I do have two paperclips stuck in my Xbox now, but at least it opens without fail now.

Once you get your graphics engine in place, you can stamp 'em in no time, just like they did it back in the 1999.

Console versions of DOOM/DOOM II are getting Final DOOM, No Rest for the Living, Sigil, and, most crucially, fan-made WADs. Now, I have no idea how exactly that is going to work, but I think that's the first time mods are available on consoles. It's such a big part of DOOM, so it's awesome to see the console versions finally get on par. I'll definitely have to check out the Switch release now. There's also some resolution updates, so with some luck I'll be able to set the resolution real low like I do on PC and get my preffered DOOMing on Switch.

What are parents for! Today I took my Xbox to my parents home and had my dad look at it. I didn't think he would be able to do anything to solve my problem (that being the disk tray was stuck and wouldn't come out,) but when coming back a few hours to my parents home later, wouldn't you know it he managed to solve it. Seems he opened the console and found some metal blocking the little hole where one is suppose to insert a paperclip to open the tray. Not sure what the whole story is but I think the metal might had been in the console when it was made in the factory. Dad cut out the metal and now the paperclip trick works. I've tried the system to see if it works which does game and all. Now hopefully I won't have anymore problems.

”Xbox Series X”? It’s like they don’t even try anymore. Say what you will about Sony but at least they are sober when they name their consoles...

That name sucks pretty bad. I also see Microsoft has taken the Sony approach when it comes to controllers. As in, barely change them from gen to gen. I suppose if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but I kinda miss when companies made more of an effort to have their consoles stand out. At least the design of the console itself looks pretty cool. Might be hard to fit into one's living room with that shape, though.
The backward compatibility sounds nice, though. If it accepts physical discs of Xbox, 360 and XBO games, I might get it.
Speaking of bad names. Bravely Default 3 got announced, and it's called Bravely Default II. Now, that is a series which, like the Xbox line, has stupid names anyway, but is Bravely Second really so different that it can't count as Bravely Default II?

Looks like the Square is going with the Final Fantasy naming convention with Bravely. Apparently II is a new setting with new characters unrelated to the first few. Still confusing as hell though.
