There was a 2600 version that was cancelled. A prototype turned up years later.

Got a bit of an error here:
"...unlike MAME's emulation of the arcade version which is currently silent."
I just played Turbo and yes it has sound in Mame.

Might as well mention that I added this to the update, with a quick blurb about the Atari 2600 prototype. I couldn't actually find it anywhere to download, I just linked that one page that discussed what was completed and what wasn't.
