I didn't have any problem at all getting my Wii reservation at Gamestop. I've heard, though, many have had to fight tooth and nail. Post here about your experiences. Hopefully people in this forum had some good luck.

Certainly a productive morning.

In Australia, no preordering yet I think, I don't care though I'll get one eventually. I early adopted this generation and I've got to say eh it's not worth it.

I'll probably just wait until its available to the general public. I don't mind waiting a few months.

I think it is smart to wait on new systems. Usually there are plenty of problems associated with launches including defects in software (i.e. Dreamcast's launch) and hardware (i.e. PS2's and XB360's launch) plus the added disappointment of not having many titles in the months after launch (i.e. almost every game system ever). However, given that the new generation of systems has a high barrier to entry in the amount of money needed for the system, games, and accessories (especially with an increase in the rape of the companies on the consumer in this category), I feel that I won't have either a PS3 or XB360 for a while, though I plan on getting the latter before the former. I had the opportunity to preorder a Wii without having to go crazy and I figured that I never have hardware issues from Nintendo products, that I might as well just get one. Plus, how can you turn down a Zelda game on launch day? I'll be satisfied with it for a good 6 months if it is as good as OoT was. I expect I'll be happy.

Also kal, I hear you guys in Australia get screwed even more than Europe in the release of games and systems, though Europe seems to be getting some awesome PSP RPGs that the US isn't for some reason (i.e. Breath of Fire III and Tales of Eternia). Do you guys get everything that Europe gets in terms of games or do you guys get less/more? Do your games normally get released later than Europe games? Any Australian exclusives?

We tend to get more screwed (again I must mention like I do when it comes to countries, we aren't as screwed as say Brazil) basically we don't get anything that hasn't been in Europe usually and then it still tends to take a little while after the Euro-release.
I can't think of one exclusive but we have gotten some Europe exclusives like Doshin the Giant but we don't get them all. All in all it's pretty crap so it's no surprise that I'm first and foremost a PC gamer and a Sega fan (Sega loved Europe and Australia like Nintendon't)

There are plenty of pre order things up in Belfast but I don't think I'll be putting my money down until they have an idea of bundles, gotta make the most of these hard earned pay cheques Oh and for once I don't have to worry about 3rd party controllers in console bundles!
