Last night some friends and I were playing Military Madness and I was wondering: which was first: Famicom Wars (later Advance Wars), or Nectaris (Military Madness)?
Was there a title earlier than any of those that had the same gameplay?

I can not remember which developer made Military Madness, but Nintendo licsensed out Gameboy Was Turbo, 2 and 3 to that developer.

I want to say that Hudson made Military Madness/Nectaris but I'm not sure.
The earliest Famicom strategy game I know of is Daisenryaku, but I don't know if that plays similarly to Famicom Wars.
