This game is really really cool. Sad that it was never released outside the USA. But it's not a Zelda clone, at all. It's more of a Diablo clone or something. It's nothing like Zelda.
The images on the bottom of the article, the map screen is repeated twice.
Since the FAQ at Gamefaqs doesn't explain very well, here are the story variations of the game.
-If you go to the Pyramid level before the Cave level, your sister will die. -If you go to the Cave level before the Pyramid level, your sister will live. None of this affects the outcome of the game though.
-If you go to the Tower level before the Cave level, Freia (Medusa) will die. This will trigger the bad ending once you get to the last level. -If you go to the Cave level first and speak to Terry there and then go to the Tower level, Freia will live. This will let you enter the very last stage and get the good ending.
-If you go to the Castle level before the Cave level, Terry will appear and talk to you. This doesn't affect the outcome of the game though.

Except it's not called a clone in the article. The game does have similarities in my opinion that are attribute to the Zelda series.

I was replying to Kurt. There are similarities yes in the sense that it's an overhead game and there's an item that works like the hookshot, but that's basically it. The game has more in common with a roguelike than a Zelda.

Just a couple things that could be stated a bit better: [...]possibly unused text that says that Dante is protected by a magic barrier to renders magic ineffective against. The default weapon is a sword, whose he slash animation is reminiscent of Link's slash[...]

I saw the translation patch for this and always meant to check it out. It actually sounds more promising from this article than it did then, so I think I'll give it shot in the coming week.

Looks pretty nifty and hey, there's a handy download link. I'll have to give this sucker a shot. What's the best emulator for it? I've been using FCE Ultra for years...so long it has possibly been exceeded by now.

It's still the best, huh? Good to know. I should probably update my copy of it, though, which is circa 2008.

*The bosses are effected most by this
Did you also mean to say "affected"?
Not sure if "the most" sounds better.
*Bosses can be killed in a matter
